Just based on the value increase, the insurance would go up 30% ($35K-$27K)/$27K
Insurance doesn't care what you paid for either vehicle.. They set rates what they would have to pay out in a loss.
Rates are also influenced by how others drive. If lots of Mavericks get totaled, everyone's rates...
Don't order OEM. They are under recall with no parts available.
The milkhouse heater is along the lines I was thinking. A buddy of mine parks in front of the dryer vent and tented with a blanket.
Good post.
Many people don't think about the geometry/physics of trailers. 1 foot wider and 4 feet longer doubles the size and weight. Sometimes that's the difference between a safe trip and an unfortunate ending.
Mercury had some innovative ideas. One of my favorites was the Breezeway design.

The biggest factor now that production has caught up is shipping time. If it goes by rail which is typical, it will be 3-4 weeks just for that part. Scheduling on the front end is the second big variable. If you got the order in before April production is scheduled, that will help. Production of...
Mud flaps help with reducing the snow/ice/crud build up underneath the doors and behind the rear wheels. Many posts about gap behind the rear wheel. I have both the gap filler and mud flaps to minimize the crud buildup.
Based on 42K stock, Maverick inventory is at a 3-4 months supply on the lot. That's moving into the higher end of the range. Unless sales pick up, production will start to cut back.

I've been using that strategy for my snow blower forever. Tecumseh engine is over 30 years old and still going strong. I did rebuild the carburetor a few years ago. It doesn't have a turbo, but it's on my list for upgrades. 🤔😉
End goal:
It's a good thing it took them 5 years to figure this out.
Publishing this secret in '22-24 would have been frustrating to everyone who waited months to years for their Maverick.
Nice to see supply has finally caught up with demand.
The Ram CEO is right. The math doesn't work for Ram. Here is why:
Ram is a distant third place in market share. ~15% for full sized trucks.
If Ram introduced a small truck it would likely be about 15% of Maverick sales. 155K x 15% = 23K.
Santa Cruz sold 25K last year and was cancelled.
