gawd, I feel old. My first summer job was pumping gas (and washing windshields, checking oil, cleaning the working bays) and gas was $1.20 a gal.. Pay was about the same per hour. Actually I only Feel old sometimes, but in years I is old...(intentional grammer)
Not in Portland, but Eugene, which is now a small city. 30 years ago it was a big(sort of) town. Not likeing the changes. That aside, most driving here is around town with some trips toward the Bend area. I have only had the Mav Hybrid a very short time...learning,I hope, to get the better mpg...

Yeah, but I have a Tesla Model 3, and Ford quality is MUCH better.....but yeah. Had a lot of Audi's..that was quality. O well. As long as I don't break down in the hills of Eastern Oregon when it's 105 degrees, I will accept it.
I picked up a Maverick Lariat Hybrid last week for a dealer. Person who ordered it backed out. I checked Ford Recall Notice with my Vin. It said no recalls. ( deflecting from topic but I did it anyway... :) )
I was thinking like a 1940 Ford Pickup ( had one, I restored it) but like what you posted. This> Ford itself claimed the Model T achieved from 13 to 21 mpg, according to Motor Trend. 25 cents a gallon in 1918
