No advantage to you. It is an advantage to the dealer because it locks you into using them. I don't see the point. Set a reminder on your phone to call a dealer on the day orders open. Look for a deal like Chapman or Granger offer around that time.

I believe if you open the door while in gear, it will automatically go into P. It's to prevent someone form crushing themselves with the door.
