Buy a vehicle with a check engine light on...? Run away. I guess, maybe, consider it if you can get your own mechanic to look at it. But sounds like you're buying someone else's lemon...
Would love something that ties into vehicle to do away with inspection and help with registration renewal. Don't care much for digital places. Certainly don't care enough for $7/month and $700.
It's not just the parts. They schedule to maximize efficiency. Adding Lux puts a lot more complexity, wouldn't be surprised if it changes what they build it with. But probably won't hurt to try.
Typically no changes after scheduling. There's been some anecdotal accounts if minor changes (see color for example) right after scheduled. But apparently it takes a lot of effort with dealer having to go to regional manager with Ford. I don't think there is much chance of getting a major change...
The group who I bought my wife a certified Rogue from had a Certified limited. It's listed under $37k. I know they'll do the $2k of BS... But that's still a low mile limited for under $39k. It would be less than Maverick, have more features, and require me to buy less accessories right out of...
Depends on what you want. Lower cost, Maverick. More truck like (including better towing setup with optional trailer brake controller), Maverick. More off road capable, Maverick.
At the higher trim, honestly the Santa Cruz takes over on value. The Activity package, standard on the higher...
What about a dealer stock order of another acceptable one doesn't come in? Seems they should be able to work to get one for themselves (since you want an Ecoboost) and sell it to you for MSRP. Take a few more months but should be viable if a cancelled order doesn't come in.
So this is a truly unfortunate situation for the OP. I believe the OP is handling it well, trying to work through things with Ford and Dealer while keeping his cool. Good for him. Unfortunately I don't think Ford is inclined to help, and it sounds like the GM is ghosting him.
All the calls for...
Yeah, there was an incorrect rumor you can't add a hitch. But there have been videos and posts about doing it for months. I'd do the Curt one myself if needed. Seems easier. I think UHaul is also doing them but if I was going to pay someone I would pay the dealer.
So the TS Rails are like $180. They give the option for rails with a cover. They also add tie down points for things like the bikes. I'm getting removable rails so I can do big loads with them off, but with on things like a cooler over the closed cover (see road trip).
As for the bottles, see...
Problem with the Escape Service bulletins helping on the Maverick... Even if it's the exact same issue vs. The dealer use it to fix the issue doesn't Ford need to issue one for the Maverick? I don't think they can extrapolate from the Escape.

Mine was built 1/12 as well. Showed up yesterday in system that way, got the email today. Deliver 1/31-2/6. I'm assuming it could take a week or two longer.
Mines going to Mac Haik as well. Just got the email this morning on being built with delivery estimate of 1/31-2/6. I'll assume it's on the later side if not after. Fine by me I just wanted it in February ahead of the spring break road trip we have planned in March.
Anyone have any idea of typical ship time to Houston? Mine was built Thursday, modules live and such. Curious once it is on rail how long it will probably be.
I agree with others, hydroplaning is not largely impacted by all-wheel drive. To me, the bigger concern when it's raining is not hydroplaning but standing water. When you're driving and hit a large puddle which drags certain wheels, having additional traction in others is something that I like...
Looked it up, mine's built as of this morning! Just waiting for shipping and delivery. Another 2-6 weeks... Still no complaints hope the last steps go smoothly.
