You'd get a better article hanging a keyboard on the wall and throwing darts at it than you do from MotorBiscuit. I refuse to patronize that garbage with clicks and views.
Cite the section the the manual says to drive with a check engine light on if repairs are not available. Spoiler it's not there....
This is a great way to go from issue covered by warranty (or lemon law) to "you're on your own".
Again, horrible advice. Please no one listen to "just drive it...
Ahhh, this old debate again. The order is a contract. That is not a debate it just is. OP and the dealer had a meeting of the minds for them to place an order for a Maverick, memorialized with an order sheet. That is a contract.
The problem arises in, what was the contract for? What are the...
I think the Tuxedo Pro X15 is some good bang for your buck. Quality material, I like the fabric look instead of the vinyl look. Easy to install, easy to remove. Cleaning instructions are to take through car wash so that isn't an issue. Low profile, and very little leaking even after heavy rain...
Most of the order forms say that final price is subject to the sales contract. To be protected buyer really needs a sales contract with OTD price signed both sides.
This isn't going to be a court issue. It's about appealing to their business sense. Even if OP was able to win the case in court...
AutoNation is scum. I wouldn't buy a car from them if it was half off. I drove 20 minutes further to buy from Mak Haik than those crooks.
So by every reasonable definition the OP had a contract. But the contract was to have the car ordered. I don't think you're going to find language where...
The maps are always about 2 years old. Even the brand new Garmin. Not sure where the brain trust is getting this idea that built in navigation is getting instant updates. That's the benefit of Google Maps, but common knowledge for device/vehicle based navigation.
See my other posts as well as the ones right after this. Prove the person braked for no reason. They could have had any number of reasons to brake, and it is the responsibility of the vehicle behind them to follow at a safe enough distance to react accordingly.
My son is learning to drive. I...
There are many reasons the brake could be slammed on besides road rage. If the Maverick driver admitted it then that's the reason. Or it could be vehicle malfunction, pedal confusion, thought they saw something in the road, something got in their eye, something fell on the brake pedal, confusion...
Your post seems hypocritical. You're happy about the high price you can get selling your old car, but frustrated at the dealer for the high price the dealer is selling their on the lot vehicle. The reason you can have a high value is the same as the dealer. Why is it OK for you but not them? I...
Brake checking is a light tap to get the person behind to back off. That video is slamming on the brakes. Wasn't really a brake check IMO.
In most states a rear end collision is the fault of the following vehicle. If you can demonstrate an extenuating circumstance MAYBE. That video is not...
I assume you guys know more than I. When the deal came out I had just been scheduled. I checked to see if I could add (as I had removed SIBL and rails to speed up scheduling) and it was too late. Kinda tuned it out from there. Then I realized I could get Toff Liner SIBL and Tuxedo TS Rails for...
You had to order the bed liner and the cargo management, then they reduced the MSRP by the cargo management system. If you didn't order it you didn't get it.
Also this is the set of 6 D rings, not the bed rails. You can do the same thing for like $25 from Home Depot so not worth sweating.
You're right, it might have made no difference. It might have though. The point is that in general doing things in a positive way tends to bring positive things back. It's not an absolute, just a trend (kinda like the Vegas house odds).
If you want the easiest transaction, take it to the dealer. While they don't have to, they will give you something for it. Most get auctioned off anyway so they'll take it.
Private sale is your most likely bet for the most money. But who knows how long it will take, scammers, effort, not...
