I’d really be surprised if they schedule any MY23 over the coming few weeks, considering MY22 are being built all the way until the week of 11/21 now.
This was my takeaway too. Dealers were likely told not to publicly share allocations. He has 700+ orders to fill, with about 10% of those being rollovers. He isn’t going to be happy with any allocation. I’d wager they got right at about 60 or so, which will just cover his rollovers. He and other...
I don’t think the tow hitch has ever been listed as a constraint, but it isn’t an “easy” addon compared to others that have been a constraint (like the mud flaps and drop-in bed liner). However, it is a no-brainer, because it costs more than $600 to “do it yourself” later. If you don’t pay the...
Toyota sells 1.5 million Corollas a year. Ford sold fewer than 100,000 Mavericks in their first year. Economy of scale is a thing.
On average, the Santa Cruz is about 20% more than a comparable Maverick. That is a hell of a lot of room for bigger profit margins.
Daisy RV in Marbles Falls, TX seems to get Helios on a regularly basis. I do plan on renting a few models for weekend trips before making a purchase if I can do so.
I believe for the speedo cluster, there are two screws at the base of the steering wheel. And then you just pull straight out once those are removed. As far the top, the end caps of the dash pop off from each side (you have to open the doors). Once removed there are screws behind that.

I wouldn’t read too much into the tracking initiation date, it was probably scheduled to be on the truck on the 17th, but the rail was delayed for whatever...
The bed liner and splash guards are known constraints that are very easy to install yourself. You might want to consider removing those from your order.

As an FYI, while the 20% off code from Ford is nice, you can find OEM parts on the web for 20-25% off of MSRP pretty much all the time. I go to the accessories site to find the part number, and then just google the part number.
As an example, the website oemford.parts is just a branded site...
The only “option” I think is worth a possible constraint for is the trailer hitch receiver. Nearly everything else I can do myself. I’d personally rather have my truck and figure out the options myself, than gamble and never get it to begin with.
Of the small teardrop-like trailers, I am digging the Helio O2 most at the moment. I plan to spend a lot of time in mine, and working out of it with Starlink - so I need a full height trailer. Their construction also seems top notch compared to most other trailers that size.
Those are...
