Here is an installation on an Eruption Green Lariat Hybrid. Darn reflections look like spots on the paint but they are not. Bought amber bulbs on Amazon and arrived overnight. I am pleased with the way they look with the blackout package.

What tariffs? Most on cars have not been enacted and most vehicles are being excluded from what I read. Seems people think they are already paying for tariffs on cars.
It was Klutchtech. Never did figure out the spring clip thing. I just yanked till the ball separated from the socket. So you use a small flatblade in that gap in the mount as shown by that last pic?

Those pics are exactly what I am looking at. The ball isn't coming out with moderate force. Will use as much force as these 69 year old arms can muster.

The ball on the upper mount of the tailgate assist assembly snapped off(3 months use) and for the life of me I can't figure out how to release the loose ballmount from the head of the top of the cylinder. It's got a plastic thingy holding it in place and I can't figure out how to release it...
Nope, I never did anything to it but regular maintainence. It was a great vehicle. Replaced a '99 Dodge Dakota with 325,000 miles. Did a transmission in that one. Hoping for a long, troublefree life with the Maverick!
