Kinda reminds me of back in the 1980's when I would flip the air cleaner cover over on my 1976 Torino (351W/FMX/2 barrel carb) so it would "sound cool"....

Wrong - it is just plain stupid to get the most powerful engine option then run the cheapest gas you can find. He needs to know just how dumb that it. Especially when you can get a Plat with lesser motor in it. Plus, on top of that Ford does not even recommend 85 octane gas....as I said...
It is a depreciating loss. Period. If possible, lease a vehicle instead to maximize your profit without taking a beating on the purchase of the vehicle.
The actual point of sale of the vehicle is when depreciation begins and the "entrepreneur" starts writing off said depreciation as soon as possible. Said "entrepreneur" is making profit on the business they run, not the vehicle they drove up in.
The depreciation on ANY vehicle is a known quantity....EV's are in most cases. higher...but they ALL depreciate....a vehicle is a terrible investment and everyone knows that.
So more a styling complaint and not controversial at all....I like my 2025, I think it looks light years better than the 2022-2024....there....I said it.
