[at the time] I was unable to get any local locksmith to cut my Strattec 5923293 HU101 blank, either.
Bought the blank online, mailed it to FasterAutoKeys. Works great and I used it in a HitchSafe/Vault for spare and when surfing. Programmed it myself, so it can also start the truck. All in...
or maybe luck out and get a Ford rebate + low APR offer.
These things are sitting for quite a while. 2025 is moving along. Despite "demand", I agree that these 2024s should be discounted by a decent bit. (and likely might need new batteries - wonder how many went into deep sleep months ago)
@The Real Maverick
I can't keep up with all the incorrect posts in this thread. It is overwhelming. Muzzle velocity, one might say.
Good on ya for trying to educate the masses.
Is it worth it?
Yes, say the lariat owners.
No say the rest.
Confirmation bias, confirmed.
Cloth is better. I added the one thing I really missed - ACC.
$10k stayed in the bank.
Fuel pumps magically burning up are right up there with short first oil changes and no more than 5k miles on your oil change.
All the issues on these forums, none of which will be addressed by the above (which don't even cause issues!!!).
I must be immune. Never had anything bad happen to me or my vehicles and routinely run the tank to "empty". More efficient with my time. I plan my trips and know when we need to fill up early if there's a long stretch w/o services, or if gas prices are higher where we are heading, etc.
People...
OP - are you tinting for "looks" or to actually block UV and heat?
I simply added [had installed] ceramic 80% tint to all windows (not windshield) and it greatly reduced heat gain and is CA legal. It marginally makes the windows darker vs factory. I care about function and not fashion, though.
hah - not really much space
Exactly.
That would be tiny and cloustraphobic inside. I prefer our 4-person tent for the wife and I. If weather gets really bad, we can go to a hotel and/or out to eat with the many thousands of dollars saved vs buying a camper (and also the gas money saved). We...
1. Truck is fine
2. I'd raise a stink and get a few free oil changes out of it - this is quite poor service to receive on a new vehicle from a Ford dealer
3. Holy F that's a lot for 5 oil changes - I bring in oil and filter to American Tire Depot (owned by Big Brand, I think) and its $30 labor...
Yeah, but I tried skydiving and was dissapointed. Didn't feel like flying at all. lol
And [on the street] its more fun to drive a slow car fast, than the other way around. No way you can safely drive a 911 anywhere near its limit unless on a closed course.
How often does a normal driver utilize all their HP?
If you race from stoplight to stoplight, cool I guess, but seems wasteful and childish.
In other words - the hybrid has plenty of power for normal driving. I don't get the whole excitement of "push pedal down, me go fast" appeal of higher...
Put your faith in Big Oil.
Must change every 3k miles. It's cheap.
Do you shower 3x a day? Water and soap are cheap. If once is good, 3x must be better, right?
