Dealer may not wish to release the car, they are not obligated to do so. I had that happen once when I went to look at the car they were going to get for me....should've alerted dealer first but didn't so second dealer thought they had a hook and refused to release the car.

One of the main reasons for the "stiffer" ride of the 19" tires is that the tire fitted to the truck is an "extra load" version....tends to be a less "compliant" ride over bumps and such.
Similar story here - had a 2023 Explorer Timberline and short of driving it off a cliff, could never get it past 22-23 MPG's, usually sat around 18-20 MPG in my commute cycle....traded for same exact Maverick...loving the 40+ MPG. Didn't really hate the Explorer..but it was a service nightmare...
