Michelins are a top choice and in this case, splits the difference between the BFG and Firestones in price, weight and style...BFG weighs 35 lbs and is an XL tire, Firestone weighs 25 lbs and is an SL tire, Michelin weighs 29 lbs and is an XL tire....
BTW, you see I particularly like shopping...
I like BF Goodrich as a solid, replacement tire for my ride...and the bonus here is that the BFG is an XL rated tire....but, that would add a few pounds to the overall weight of the tire.
Firestones are a good choice as, for me, Ford and Firestone are like peas and carrots. They just belong...
I feel like I am being prejudiced against because I have a hybrid....gonna have to file a complaint.....and in case anyone thinks otherwise....LMAO!!!!:cwl:
I don't disagree and personally, I would not buy them either, but the OP was looking for cheap options and these are as cheap as I have seen that are OE spec...I personally would get some Bridgestones, BF Goodrich, or Firestones...if I can get them in the XL specification. Maybe a set a Falkens....
Yes, I noted in my reply that they charge shipping - I even used a zip code for Mesa Arizona to get a shipped price...still a decently priced tire that you would need to get mounted and balanced at a local shop that should come in between $150-$200 with all related disposal fees included. If you...
Whatever you pick, just remember that the OE tire calls for an extra load (XL) rating as OE spec...XL load rated tires can run a few dollars more, but with some eagle eyed shopping, you can find good deals. Giga-Tires has some real low priced tires and even with shipping, will send you a set and...
I presume that this future truck would possibly replace Ranger in it's current form...freeing up space at Michigan Assembly for more Bronco production...
After a few months of ownership - I was looking more closely at my antenna assembly and noticed the antenna itself was not there. I usually use my Pandora subscription but on occasion, I will use terrestrial (fancy way of saying AM or FM) since my truck also has HD radio. I began to look at...
Great write up - as for tires, seeing as I also have the Goodyear Wrangler Territory HT 225/55R19XL size on my 2025 hybrid Lariat, I have done a lot of studying on replacement tires when the time comes only because Goodyear tires tread design has the traction sipes 1/2 way through the tread...
I do miss the rugged "go anywhere" attitude my Black Diamond gave me, but the chilling effect on my wallet was real....lol. I too may consider a used 2 door, but I also have two Mustangs (1983 GLX and 2006 GT, both convertibles) that like being in the garage all winter....lol.
