I'd agree with ordering it early, not sure I'd agree with buying it to flip it. The trend I have seen is that the lower cost Mavericks - less than $25,000 - are the ones where you can make the most on them. The XLT Tremor will be $30k and the Lariat probably pushing $40k.
I'll wait forever and drive something else before I'll pay one penny over MSRP. Having briefly owned a Maverick already I can assure you with absolute certainty that it is not a $40,000 vehicle. $30,000 is the very, very upper limit of what I'd say one is worth (based on build quality and...
I'm not doubting your story here, but I do want to express my surprise by this. I have purchased probably 20 cars in 25 year for myself and did the entire deal process for about 20 more for family and friends. I've bought cars from Mercedes and Porsche, and also from Kia and Nissan. I think...
Thanks. I wasn't sure 100% if you'd have to option in the regular AWD and then option the Tremor package. I suspected that would be true but wanted to clarify.
@kingranchero Thanks for clearing up about the 4K tow and Tremor. Another packaging question I'm not sure you can answer yet, but it's worth asking. Ford's given us the $2,995 MSRP on the package. But if you ordered a base XLT EB FWD - is it just $2,995 on top of that? Or will you have to add...
I'm picking mine up from Philadelphia and immediately driving it 850 miles back to my home in GA. I am not worried about it. This is not the 1970s.. just drive it.
Yes, and now Ford is extending the production time for MY22. VINs are year specific. If you have one, you're getting one. I don't know how many times this has to be explained on this forum.
Since you are scheduled and have a VIN (even if the build date is moving around) then you're getting your truck as a MY22 and all the stuff was submitted correctly.
Only the Lariat with the Lux package comes with Sync3. The rest of the trucks have very basic systems. In the XL, for the first two weeks the clock wouldn't even keep time. Then I guess an OTA update fixed that. It had a lot of issues with dropping BT connections and freezing up. That's well...
I also vote hybrid.
I owned an XL EB for a month and put 2,000 miles on it. It averaged 27-28mpg on the highway (hand calculated). The hybrid will definitely do better.
