  1. Ford CEO Responds to Price Markups

Brace yourself for the forthcoming lecture on how car salesmen/dealerships are doing you a favor and how you need to shut up and enjoy it.
  2. XLT w/ LUX just scheduled for production???

Of course the larger dealers get more allocations.. they sell more. The XLT Lux package has been a 13-14% constraint item for months. This forum needs a tiny violin emoji.
  3. What should Ford change on the 2023 / 2024 Maverick

Based on this particular clip (including the sarcastic bit about not being a teenager), I would have guessed you'd been driving more like 53 years rather than 23. Did you hit the wrong button?
  4. Will my dealer buy my truck?

Not true. They won't BUY the vehicle, but they're happy to give you a quote with the VIN. Same for Carvana. I'd still recommend auctioning it off via Carmigo, though.
  5. Will my dealer buy my truck?

That is an odd flex.. asking a dealer to buy a truck they already own. Buy it, sell it. I wouldn't walk away from the chance to purchase a Maverick at MSRP. You never know, you might like it better than the Tacoma.
  6. XLT vs Lariat - road noise level?

To be fair, I haven't driven the Lariat but the XL seemed pretty quiet inside to me.
  7. Ford CEO Responds to Price Markups

You have the exact attitude one would expect from a car salesman. Of course there will be different prices at different retailers for the same said washing machine. But you still won't be negotiating it, there won't be BS markups, and there won't be a finance guy pressuring you. None of us...
  8. Dealer markup/non-markup list

Getting your ordered Maverick for MSRP should not count in these lists. There are a few dealers that markup ordered ones, but for the most part on here those who ordered have gotten MSRP. The real needle in a haystack people are looking for is the dealer not marking up dealer stock Mavericks.
  9. Found XL eco boost in San Diego

It had AWD and a moonroof at least? A FWD XL EB with no options should be under $25k OTD
  10. Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

He's ignoring the fact the Ridgeline is a FWD unibody platform, which automatically gives it an advantage on interior room and bed space. He's an idiot.. not worth arguing with.
  11. Ford CEO Responds to Price Markups

Traditional dealer car sales are quite different than other businesses. You don't go to Best Buy and negotiate the price of a washing machine. Or go to an Apple store and negotiate the price of your new iPhone. You don't have to wonder if your new washing machine is going to have $900 worth of...
  12. FORGET the Maverick, I’m moving on to an Explorer Hybrid

He's sarcastically busting your chops a little about you not telling all of us that the Explorer Hybrid only costs $3,720 per that screenshot. :ROFLMAO:
  13. You can use 87 octane ...but should you?

Keep in mind he is selling a product.
  14. Impact of Changing AWD EB unfulfilled order to future AWD Hybrid

I certainly hope Ford allows this. I'd like to modify my 2nd hybrid order to a Tremor.
  15. Impact of Changing AWD EB unfulfilled order to future AWD Hybrid

But all orders for 2023 will be new. Are you saying that if you don't put in the exact same order you had from MY22 (that didn't get scheduled), you'll lose your place? Or are you saying if you tried to change it now?
  16. So What Are/Were Your Top 3 Planned or Performed Mods/Additions

    1. Auto dimming mirror 2. Lasfit LED exterior conversion 3. Tailgate lettering
  17. Recent software update pushed to the Maverick?

In all of my past cars keeping recirc on all the time led to moldy AC. Better to run fresh air when possible. Sounds like Ford has this programmed correctly to use fresh when possible.
  18. October Hybrid Orders United

Mine is now build week 9/5. Was 8/22 and then 8/29. Order date is 10/13 so it'll have been a year if it isn't delayed more (which seems unlikely).
  19. Unlikely Scenario for MY22 Fulfillment of All Chapman Horsham Orders...

See this question a lot on here, and the answer is YES
