I haven’t done the lights yet, I was going to use the Curt T adapter. Probably no room for a full sized spare, I can measure if you like, I’ll snap a couple pictures too.
I was pretty impressed with the quality of the Curt. Grade 8 fasteners, a couple of ‘fish wires’ to make easy work of a couple carriage bolts that are mounted in the frame, and the hitch has the rearmost exhaust hanger integrated into its construction. Very well thought out. I spent some time...
It is interesting to watch the relationship between instant MPG, battery current, and battery state of charge. As the battery becomes charged, current goes down, MPG goes up..
Yes, in this picture upper right is Battery State of Charge, lower right is batter current. Positive is driving, negative is charging. Lower left is instant MPG, upper left is engine tach
Scan Gauge 3 self learns the codes for the X-Gauges as they are called.
Scan Gauge 2 the codes have to be manually entered once.
The SG3 is the new model. It has a color touch screen, but it’s also larger and more expensive.
I used an SG2 in the past a lot when that’s all that was available...
I think different situations call for different approaches. I drive hours on the highways. I’ve found once SOC is in the low 60’s, charging current decreases and instant fuel economy increases. As I enter a small town (on state routes) I usually can make it through on battery.
If I was in an...
Thanks for sharing the link jsus. I added up fuel used over 10 or so cycles, always using the same pump, and calculated fuel used utilizing the trucks indicated mpg. I divided Maverick gallons by Gas station gallons. For my case I came up with 0.95. The AFE bias is default 1000, I changed it...

I have a scan gauge 2. I contacted the company and they sent me I list of address specific for the maverick so I could manually program the points I was interested in (battery state of charge, and current). I also use the tachometer, and the 4th slot I bounce around for coolant temp and instant...
I’ve had the same code with the same diagnosis from the dealer, replace the valve, as part of the cat back exhaust system. The technician mentioned that it is a revised valve, and it is backordered.
I’m trying to decide between the Curt and the Drawtite aftermarket hitches. From those that have installed them, do they both pop through the bumper like the factory (not below the cover)?
