Sadly (for many people, not buyers), I believe the used RV market is going to be flooded soon enough, thanks to the recession and inflation. There are a lot of people hurting out there. People also aren’t going to be able to afford buying new RVs with interest rates so high.
I’ve been watching...
Like furniture, RVs have a massive markup on them. MSRP is usually 30-40% markup to dealer costs. You can usually get upwards of 40% or more off of a new camper if you are patient - especially if you are paying cash.
Luxury package is a low allocation build, so removing it could certainly help speed up delivery. However, what is most important is where you stand with your dealer’s allocation of orders.
The towing capacity doesn’t include the 1500lb payload capacity (what you can have in the truck, including passengers). Water is 8.3lbs per gallon, so fully loaded with water and the RV trailer should still be fine.
I personally plan to pull an RV trailer up to about 1750lbs, and keep most of...
How’s the Rove Lite holding up? The new 16-foot model looks really nice, but it is pushing the limit.
I’ve been looking at the Rove Lite, Helios O2, Aliner Ascape or maybe an Aliner Expedition 15-foot a-frame. I am interested in doing some boondocking, so plan on having 300-400 watt hours of...

Kids these days will never even know the joys of riding in the back of a rickety truck going 60mph down the highway in 20 degree weather. You ain’t lived until you were in a coma after a 20mph collision.
Probably not far off. A custom order on a popular model is a guaranteed sale if it arrives. What dealer in their right mind walks away from a guaranteed sale?
Airbag recall was announced in August - https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/recall-2022-maverick-side-curtain-airbag-recall-nhtsa-notice-august-8-2022-vehicles-affected-64-974.18940/
They just haven’t had enough parts to complete it. So the notices have been going out in waves. Some...
A dealer can always cancel an order… but why in the world would they? I’d be up there in their face demanding answers. Ford themselves don’t cancel orders, that’s all on the dealer.
Even if your order wasn’t even going to be fulfilled, what is the harm in keeping it in the system? It is a...
At this time stamp you'll see that there is a seem in the frame that would be a logical repair point -
With that said, I have no clue how you'd obtain the parts to Frankenstein a rearend together, short of finding another Maverick that was salvaged for front-end damage.
