I think I’d look at any vehicle type that gets 40mpg, with this utility, and the price point.
A similar sized SUV is easily 30% more expensive.
If I’m wrong let me know...because then I’ll get the SUV 😛
I wonder if the base XL, with no options is a loss leader....it could be Ford is making...
What have you done with your other vehicles, and why would this truck be any different?
Some people use an oil made for this purpose, others a more durable coating....others do nothing except rinse the underbody a few times during winter.
Was that an XLT with a LUX package ... but no Ford 360? I couldn’t see the “radar” square on the grill...
Without the LUX package, but doing the individual inverter option, you would simply have the outlet and no USB ports...correct?
Also....good view of the rear window. Makes me want to...
I know little about towing....but just in case this helps anyone else..

“I want to point out that a 40 mile per day EV needs only a single 20amp 120v circuit to plug in each night. Which most garages have already. The power grid can handle EVs no problem. A small fraction of residential use.”
Except when the windmills freeze, or storms knock down the power...
Just for a perspective....I wonder if the tow package is even worth getting on the hybrid?

I’m torn between the maverick (great price, great mpg) and getting a midsize SUV (more money). I throw a tarp down and have hauled 2x4’s with the seats flat, patio blocks, mulch, etc....
So if there was a SUV at this price point and mpg.....I’d probably do that since I would just rent a pickup...
I personally don’t want to hear what everyone else is listening to...
While I agree about Bluetooth not being ideal....this seems like a tiny concern...
.....not sure what cars offer a 3.5mm input these days.
Another work-around...
Someone beat me to the posting of the adapter above...
One persons “hideous” is another person’s “style.” It is all opinion, and no one is forcing anyone to buy these.
I would like aftermarket fenders (not the huge ones with the exposed bolt heads...) to protect against the clueless, or unconscientious drivers, who choose to park next to my...
I’m on the Ford website in their chat, and they are saying cup holders in the XLT armrest (without the LUX) is standard.
I would get half the included options in the LUX package, but not getting the LUX is still saving $1k.
If you want a seat back pocket behind the driver’s seat (Toyota does...
Does anyone know if the backup camera has the predictive lines (the ones on the screen that curve as you back up)? I haven’t seen anything with the backup camera in action.
I didn‘t write that very clearly.....I meant to include the only way to get the USB and the cup holders in the armrest is to go to the XLT, and then add the LUX package.... which is a pretty hefty price bump. But if I am reading the options list wrong, please correct.
Thanks.
I was hoping the maverick would work..
.....great mpg, and great starting price. I am realizing (ok, I’m slow) that attempting to make an inexpensive pickup into an inexpensive SUV, will cost the same as just buying an inexpensive SUV due to the option packages.
This is a great value at base...
If I read this correctly....if I want cup holders in the center armrest in back, plus a seat back pocket behind the driver.....it must be the Lux package?
On the XL, is that the same placement of the outlet in the back, with out the USB jacks?
Has the side mirrors.....powered, manual...Ford 360 etc.....been finally figured out? It seems there is a lot of contradictory information on that...? If I got the XL with the Ford 360 package....manual...
An inexpensive 40mpg vehicle? If they made an SUV at the price and mpg I would get that.
I priced out at around 24K, so 26-27k still not too bad....and the 40 mpg!
