We currently have a 2006 Mariner V6 FWD that has a trailer hitch and 252K miles and it is still my daily driver for work, average about 21 MPG yearly, we also have a 2013 C-Max Energi (plug-in).
I live on 20 acres and my dad has 65 acres across the river, a small pickup like the maverick would...
It is possible that whoever did the oil change might have let the engine idle a bit while they figure out how to reset the oil life monitor.
Depending on if the tank was fresh or almost empty, that can change MPGs differently.
I live in SW Missouri, I have seen snow in May, I have seen 80F temps in December, my freshman year of high school, I went to school with a t-shirt and shorts, (high was 75F), when school let out, there was 4 inches of snow on the ground.
The saying here is "If you don't like the weather...
Ok, I understand where you are coming from on not wanting to wait, but there are other hybrid Ford options
Escape Hybrid FWD or AWD, roughly 40MPG
Escape PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid), has tax rebate available, FWD only
My wife and I were looking into the PHEV Escape until she decided on the Maverick...

AWD without 4k has a gear ratio of 3.63 to 1
4k has a gear ratio of 3.81 to 1
So to me, get the 4k towing in a basic XL truck, run shortest and widest tires that will fit over the brakes, then get base line 0-60!!!
I read this title hoping that @Delzona was getting his built....don't worry Delzona, I wanted a Maverick really bad but I just couldn't bring myself to eat Ramen for a year so that I could order one, so you are ahead of me.
On a side note, I am getting money banked up from donating plasma...
