The only thing that annoyed me about the DeeZee was getting the anchor bolt to grab inside the tailgate properly. Having another set of hands to tension the bolt while tightening would have been a big help. I modified the steps a bit, putting the shock on and pulling on that to get enough...
Soapy water (as in a very small amount of plain liquid hand soap in a good amount of water) will prevent the adhesive from immediately grabbing and give you a few tens of seconds to get comfortable with the placement... without affecting the adhesion after it dries. Just don't use any solvents...
Yesterday, I had pulled into a parking spot at a shopping complex to drop off a package at UPS, and the person I was next to seems like they were sitting in their vehicle and waiting. I get back a few minutes later and am about to pull out when movement at the edge of my vision catches my...
Are there any aftermarket wheels that essentially fit like stock without need for spacers or centering rings? Or will pretty much anything aftermarket need the extra do-dads to mount it? I'd like to get some 17" bronze wheels with snows mounted for my Eruption Green machine.
I had a nice...
What's the issue they have with dish soap if you're replacing the wax coating afterward? I'm sure it works great for removing oils from the surface and it's designed to not spot on glass. I'm half tempted to start posting that I'm using laundry detergent on mine to hear the responses. Brighter...
Engine braking won't put any more stress on the vehicle than driving down the highway would... even if it sounds like it does. The only risk is over-revving the engine and modern vehicles make it very difficult to do that as they'll force a gearing shift if the engine revs too high.
Good of them to redo the test. I took delivery of my hybrid Maverick last week and I'll be running it in sport mode to help break in the engine until the first oil change. So far I'm getting about 32MPG with 5.5 miles of highway and 5.5 miles of local roads running in sport mode for my commute...
For me this is a feature and not a bug. It drives me crazy when people don't understand how HVAC works and just treat it like an on-off switch. It's either MAXIMUM BLOWER HOT, MAXIMUM BLOWER COLD, or COMPLETELY OFF... absolutely no in between and they keep adjusting it on and off the entire...
It pushes the envelope as that's A LOT of power in a tiny device... imagine a 150watt light-bulb sticking out of your 12volt socket. MOST devices WON'T draw that, but it's available if you need it. Lower power versions are available if you're nervous about it. Thermal and over-current protection...
I'm interested in turning off the seatbelt minder with Forscan. I'm getting a message that isn't showing in the tutorial vid however. Should I proceed through this screen?
The Ford OEM divider would work as it's adjustable front to back. One could make one themselves if they were so inclined.

I grabbed an OBD port to USBx2 dongle with a power timer for my dashcam. If there is an auto-dimming mirror than runs off of or can be converted to USB power it would also work for that with the second port.

And some interior shots after getting in out of the rain, shows how the color changes under different lighting. I'm probably going to strip the hood decals off, not in love with those.
I recall seeing a thread where someone replaced the headrest from another model and it wasn't as forward. I'll probably look into that, but the headrests do fit in backwards meanwhile.
Yes, old thread.
I just got my 2025 Lariat, but as far as I can tell the headrests do not tilt. I'm hoping I'm just doing it wrong as I find the headrest too far forward and just removed it. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?
2025 Black appearance package with deflectors after a little rain. Managed to get a decent shot of the roof which is very hard to get to show as the eye sees it usually. It blends the black tonneau to the black body accents nicely in my opinion. I think the hood decals are going to be...
