I don't drive the Maverick that much in the summer (ride the bike) so my hybrid, at a little under 50mpg is the gas hog.
But. I bought my Maverick when it was cheaper so there's that.
I'd buy one again in a heartbeat.
I'm averaging upper 40s mpg. With gas what it is, long term the battery cost by 200k will be negligible. Don't worry about the battery, just compare the two different vehicles.
I suppose it couldn't hurt to hook up a maintainer to the battery but a few times last year I rode my motorcycle for a couple of weeks steady and one time went on vacation and each time I was ready for trouble but it always started fine and the voltmeter in the cigarette lighter socket was normal.
Any change in the pedal feel or the brake fluid getting low is cause for investigation.
The pads are easy to see. Each should be evenly worn and getting close to an eighth inch better change them now.
I drive for efficiency myself but the hybrid isn't really a slouch, especially at low speeds. I've had both the EB and hybrid Maverick and enjoyed both but the low fuel consumption of the hybrid is great. And that smooth eCVT is nice too. They talk about the AWD but I'm happy with the FWD and...
Well. I just got a recall notice, my first. Something about trailer lights (?). When they say something I'll give them your phone number. This will work great , the pile is half gone but still hot and steaming.
