This thread only considers gas cost and ignores the other benefits of owning a Hybrid.
Hybrid has No Turbo like the EcoBoost has. Turbo engines are known to be problematic.
Regenerative brakes means the brake pads will not wear out for a long time if ever.
There is no accessory belt or...
More than likely there was a vehicle not visible to you that set it off.
If the "mother with 2 kids and a shopping cart" was behind you the vehicle would have had to stop before hitting them and more likely you would not see it in your mirrors or backup camera.
There are two indicators on the...
Thanks for the tip. I just renewed online for $20.
The online payment shows additional upcharges of $15, $2.50 and $2.50 could be added.
These charges are optional online but on the renewal form mailed to me they were automatically added to the form along with an additional $10 surcharge...
It is not meant nor does it detect people.
The manual specifically states:
Cross traffic alert detects vehicles that approach at a speed between 4–37 mph (6–60 km/h).
It only detects Vehicles or Things that approach at 4-37 MPH.
People do not set it off unless they are sprinting or are on Skateboards/Scooters/Bikes etc and moving at 4 MPH or faster.
From the 7/13 Scheduling Thread 7/13/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING] I counted Hybrids at a 73.6% rate:
I counted all those who posted here in this thread that got a scheduled build date.
Here is a breakdown. Three of the entries are missing the Engine Type...
You are wrong as I was a member when I ordered my MY23 Maverick and have a valid printed certificate good through 1/2/2024 and as @fordvideoguy Tim states that is all that is required to be able to use the $500 certificate.
Tim's Post
I am talking about renewal not the first sign up.
I signed up last year in June for $20.
The renewal form I got in the mail they now want $50 to renew.
I also have not renewed because the initial $20 cost went up to $50 with $30 extra non removable charges on the renewal form.

A "Buyer's Order" sometimes called a "Purchase Order"
It needs to list all costs/fees/taxes with a final total out-the-door price and be signed and dated by you and the Dealership's General/Sales Manager.
Only the Dealership's General/Sales Manager has the authority to sign a binding legal...
If the problems occur for this year (canceled scheduled MY23 orders with build dates) then you will be screwed because you did not have a MY24 order in as the order banks will be closed.
By not putting in a MY24 order you are putting absolute trust that Ford will not screw up again.
It is...
Do you not remember last year when MY22 orders with a scheduled build date got canceled.
Having a scheduled build data on a MY23 is no guarantee that it will get built.
If it doesn't get built as a 23 and you have no order in as a 24 you will not get your Maverick.
Good luck everyone.
This is the beginning of the final stretch of scheduling for MY23 Mavericks.
Ford has stated that if you do not get a scheduled build date by 8/3 you will not get a MY23.
Intend is the key word here.
Yes Ford is intending to build all the MY23 orders that get a scheduled build date much like they intended to build all the MY22 orders that got a scheduled build date.
However as late MY22 order holders learned what Ford intends may not happen.
And with the...
Yes they "intend to build all MY23s scheduled" but after the disaster at the end of 22 my trust in what Ford "intends" is not strong.
I had my dealer put in a 24 order even though I have a MY23 build date of 9/4/23.
Ford/My dealer can cancel the MY24 when my MY23 is built.
