Sorry but they don't sound like a dealer I would want to do business with.
Extreme markups, shady dealer add-ons, and aggressive salesmen that insist on face to face negotiations for a sale turn me off.
I apologize for my confusion.
I was going to ask if you feel that negotiating with Gosch would be productive in getting a reasonable price but it seems like you're not that knowledgeable about their business.
Maybe I'm again confused.
My dealer in NorCal is not doing that kind of crazy markup. More like $3,000.

Retired Ford parts guy here. If Ford calls back the warrantied part from your dealer and they can't find it Ford will not pay the dealer for the repair. The tech was supposed to write the RO# on the box and turn it in to the parts department.
This is from the 2024 order guide for the Lariat.
Under standard equipment it shows this.
The person at customer service must not know where to look for this information.

It means that performance is decreased if the frontal area limitations are exceeded. It doesn't say that you can't tow a trailer with a larger frontal area than listed.
Ford dealers get their Motorcraft battery's from a Motorcraft warehouse distributor not from the Ford PDC's.
The Motorcraft WD local to me is showing 1389 BAGM48H6760'S in stock so they don't appear to be on back order.
