Any chance you've heard of any issues with the heat exchanger on the newer Escape Hybrids (ie MY22, MY23)? I see many reports here on MTC where people are having to get their heat exchangers replaced. Not even sure if the heat exchanger is the same on the Escape Hybrid so figured I would ask.
Wondering if you or any other Mav owner's can comment on the quality of the dial shifter? We test drove (2) different 2023 Ford Escape Hybrids and both of the had what I would call a very cheap feeling (almost flimsy like and loose) dial rotary shifter. My wife has a 21 Edge and the rotary...
Well I guess that answers that, lol. We will have to keep an eye on my wife's new Escape hybrid and watch for signs of 12V battery drainage. I guess worse case we'll have to pony up for the beefier battery should it come to that. Seems crazy that Ford won't remedy this situation at the factory...
Thanks again for the detailed reply. My wife is going to be buying a 23 Hybrid Escape and it has Sync 4 this year and her escape comes with a 13.2" screen. I wonder if Ford might have changed the 12V battery size for the 23MY? I would assume Sync 4 and a bigger screen would draw more power...
I just reread your reply again and saw that you mentioned you were going to be replacing your 12V battery soon. Did you get any sort of deep sleep messages that we see here on the Mav thread for your escape? I'm curious what symptoms you experienced that led to the factory 12V battery dieing?
So you say $400 for 5 years for tire care plus. Does that include unlimited miles during those 5 years? Also what happens if you get new tires before that 5 year mark? Does the warranty work on new tires bought during the purchased warranty period?
Wow I completely forgot about gap insurance. I'll have to check with our insurance agent and see if that's included or not (I can't remember if it is).
Also thanks again for all the contributions you've made to MTC over time. We still have our (2) Maverick orders in (one EB and one Hybrid) but...
Thank you very much for the detailed response. What year Escape hybrid do you have? How are you liking it and what kind of MPG are you seeing? The 23 we drive was very smooth but I thought the noise from the 2.5 was kind of loud but it sounds like that's normal?
It looks we are going to be buying (rather my wife will be buying) a 23 Ford Escape Hybrid while we wait for our 23 Maverick Hybrid to not be built, lol. We test drove one last week and it was really nice.
We will for sure be buying the PremiumCare on it through Granger as it's literally half...
I was wondering if you can comment if anyone of these issues you outlined for the Maverick are also applicable to the MY22 or MY23 Escape Hybrid? I think the hybrid system is the same in the Escape and the Maverick but not sure if these and other issues such as grabby brakes, bad battery harness...
Just curious if anyone here has recently bought the tire care plan that Ford sells? Looks like it's an extended service plan on both your wheels and tires. Just curious if anyone has bought it recently when purchasing their Mav and if so what the cost was?
I know we can buy extended warranties...
While waiting for our Hybrid Maverick to get scheduled we got the chance to drive a 23 Ford Escape hybrid. Since this 23 hybrid escape has the same hybrid system as the maverick we figured it would be a great opportunity to test out what driving the hybrid Maverick should be like. The drive...
This is the first time that I can remember seeing stock scheduling listed in a weekly scheduling notice. I do remember seeing both retail and fleet being listed on the same weekly schedule previously.
Also when my wife saw this scheduling announcement listed on another board it did mention...
Can you please confirm that your vin does in fact start with 64xxx and the first digit isn't a 5. If so, you are the highest vin# by far and they scheduled around 4k more for June than previously thought. Just tagging you @Automate
