I'm pretty sure that the ones at my dealer are really there because they have photos of them. They take the photos right next to the back door to the parts department. When I worked there I used to see them taking the photos for the website all the time.

Correct. That's why I went to my dealers website and checked their inventory. They showed eight new Mavericks in stock, all with blue window stickers, and nine more with blue window stickers in transit.

I want to point out that the quotes I posted from the Maverick towing guide only mentions a reduced amount of performance from higher altitude and frontal area resistance. It doesn't say you have to abide by this or you transmission will blow up if you exceed the suggested limits.

I'd hate to be rear ended so hard that a deflating spare tire is the only thing that saved me from a fiery death.

Another thing to consider when towing is the air resistance from the size of the frontal area of the trailer. A larger frontal area makes your Maverick work harder to maintain the same speed. So towing a trailer that folds down like a tent or pop up unit will not be the same as a standard...

When the Maverick was introduced in 2021 the XL base price was $19,995. The XL base price today is $23,400. Looks like inflation is a big part of the increase.

The OP should have known something was up when the dealer told him they had to deal with a "title issue" before they could sell it to him. Salvage title?
