I have combed through the user manual and cannot determine why I get an audible warning (pair of beeps) when driving over speed bumps. I do have a two-inch lift on my 2023 Maverick XLT EB AWD.
Does anyone have a hypothesis?
The mini-truck phase in the 1980s was about the closest I came to hot rods (Chevrolet Luv and Datsun 620).
I owned a 1974 BMW 2002tii modified into a modern interpretation of an Alpina A4S. I also owned a BMW 5-series, which someone else modified as a European Car magazine project car (the...
I participated in the lowered and modified mini pickup truck phase in the early 1980s and was tempted to revisit it with a Maverick. Yet, I went in the opposite direction to take advantage of the AWD.
I like all of the choices you made - your Maverick is fantastic.
I am not sure I have enough before/after pictures to show everything. Thus, I will show what it looked like when I bought it and what it looks like now. I will also summarize everything that has been done to it.
What has been done:

Good day, southern California folks,
I hope those of you in LA County are safe and sound -- our thoughts go out to you.
The Tustin Legacy Cars N Coffee is from 7:00 to 9:00 AM this Saturday. If others want to join me, I am up for bringing the Maverick instead of the Mercedes-Benz. I am not...
I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I thought it was fair for potential buyers to know what will fit and what won't.
As it turns out, mine is the one pictured above. We do have a pair of hybrids that it should fit on. If nobody else is interested, please contact me before recycling it...
Hello,
As it turns out, the version of the JCR engine cover you have is meant for Mavericks with the electronic brake booster. The mechanical brake boosters have components mounted in places that interfere with this engine cover. I went through a series of prototypes until they produced a new...
OTR, as delivered from A.R.E., is black. I have a Shadowblack truck. So, the OTR-covered MX-series shell looked good against the black plastics. Thus, if you are okay with the black plastics on whatever color your truck is, you might like the black OTR.
One option is to have it painted to match...
It's a good time for you to ask this question.
I recall @fordvideoguy (Tim at Long McArthur Ford in Salina, Kansas) telling members during the lot walk that he plans to release a Maverick Monday YouTube video clarifying the CoPilot features and options on the Maverick.
If you can wait, the...
There are countless threads and at least two Ford Video Guy (Tim at Long McArthur Ford in Salina, Kansas videos) on this topic.
Shortest answer:
The time it may sit waiting for a train car varies (it is not predictable). Some of the earlier builds were later produced in front of them. They...
Yes, you can get the V-series with the OTR.
I forgot (in my original post) to mention something I learned about the side windows. Although my MX-series didn't have the window-doors (opening windows) (it had fixed sliding windows), they are an option on the MX-series. They are not an option on...
Wheels and tires: 17x7.5 ALPHAequipt Halo CUV Black Painted wheels with 245/70R-17 Vredestein Pinza All-Terrain tires
The wheels are unique since they have provisions for two valve stems (air up/down for off-road use).
The original 18-inch BAP wheels were installed on the Atlas Blue 2024 XL...
I had the A.R.E. MX-series (mid-rise) on my Maverick originally. I loved that shell, but my wife thought it was ugly. I sold it to an MTC member and ordered an A.R.E. V-series (cab-high). The V-series is on the truck now.
Someone else on MTC ordered the V-series, didn't like how limited the...
I had off-road protection plates installed and still have:
Factory engine shield,
Under the floorboards felt, and
Under the gas tank shield
Free to someone willing to make the drive to Irvine, California.
They will go in the garbage on Thursday if nobody wants them.
I can post pictures if...
This morning, I pulled alongside a lowered Azure Grey Hybrid Maverick with the Black Appearance Package (northbound 5 freeway near Jamboree Road in Irvine) and gave the driver a thumbs-up (which he returned). Say hello if you are on MTC as well.
This should be a poll rather than a thread. Otherwise, it might be tough to tabulate the results.
For your information, I am for the right to repair, but I understand a manufacturer's desire to gain better control over repairs. I don't hold Ford's position on this against them.
I am relatively sure that the Tustin Legacy Cars-n-Coffee is tomorrow (the third Saturday of each month). I was planning on taking the 1977 Mercedes-Benz 450SLC since it is for sale on Hemmings (here if you want to see the pictures and videos), and this is a pretty good crowd to present it to...
I lowered the price on 12/16/2024
Note that the Maverick received a color correction, full detail, and ceramic coated.
It currently has about 18.9K miles.
