  5. 10/6/22 Scheduling Canceled

Nobody likes delays or waiting, I get it, but Ford is pretty upfront with info. We get emails now as the order moves through the stages of production and shipping. Like it or not, this is good customer service. They’re in business to build vehicles. These part availability problems are world...
  6. 10/6/22 Scheduling Canceled

What a bunch of pessimists. Ford launched a new product in the middle of a worldwide pandemic the world has not seen the likes of in the past century. Production was being tooled and set up when we couldn’t even get toilet paper. I think they’ve done remarkably well all things considered...
  7. Norwex glass cleaner

Their kitchen towels have a proven track record for disinfection. They also have a toothbrush that I like. They use silver(Ag) in the weave, that’s why they’re pricy.
  8. Norwex glass cleaner

My wife likes them, I’m not a fan. Definitely not good for summer windshield mess. They have a ā€˜special’ detergent you’re supposed to use. With as dirty as the paper towels get when I’m done, it’s too much effort and cash. I don’t want to use those on my truck.

Frontal area is a significant attribute of a trailer. It’s more than a CYA thing from ford. While in motion the aero drag of a trailer is more significant than its weight. So not only is the larger frontal trailer area putting additional load on the drivetrain that it isn’t designed for, a...

  14. To moonroof or not to moonroof. That is the question

On my 2020 super duty it does, but when I vacuum the floor I take the brush across it and it cleans up. It does a lot to quiet the buffeting.

Greg, That’s exactly what I did, I just placed a second order for an identical truck with the ecoboost.
  16. Elephant in room: Around 80% of orders are Hybrids.

My daily is a diesel superduty. I drive 4-5000 miles a month for work, which pays me the $.64 the government allows for reimbursemen, average mpg is 19 calculate. I have other needs for a big truck outside of work. I can justify the Maverick just on savings of fuel alone, but if you factor in...
  17. Elephant in room: Around 80% of orders are Hybrids.

Iā€˜m hoping that since they closed hybrid customer orders early that even though with the 80% hydrid orders recieved, they’re still under the 35% capacity for the year.
  18. 2023 XL vs XLT

For me the decision was about ordering a truck that with a high probability of being built. I chose a Hybrid XLT with a hitch and sliding window. No accessories that might slow down production. Look at the screen shot below regarding the way Ford has their production and resources allocated...
