Typically fuel injected engines have a low pressure pump in the tank and another high pressure pump in-line to supply the injectors with the required psi around 275 psi. I canāt see them pressure the tank that high. Tank pressure is probably to eliminate the low pressure in tank pump. Which...
So I get what youāre saying but in the beginning many hybrids were shipped with a hole on top of the fuel tank. No performance
complaints. So it canāt just be pressure and what happens with a leaky gas cap? Sorry I canāt buy this explanation.
