Pulled my cabin air filter & stuck in borescope past the recirculate valve that was open.
Looking toward center of truck saw a harness grommet and another black one.
Checked Ford Parts and found Cowl Panel Drain Valve.
It drains water that comes in thru the cowl plastic grill and drains down...
That's below the removed plastic cowl at front windshield passenger side.
I was looking at mine and don't see an obvious way a mouse gets there unless they can squeeze in behind felt in engine compartment that is below that.
sanpablo's post with his photos...
Roof rats are what I've had to deal with for years. Got into my attic, Ram's engine compartment.
So have several bait stations outside & put out victor traps when see them out in evening in flower beds. Peppermint oil & Fabreeze Linen clip-ons in engine compartment of the cars/truck.
Rear cabin vent looks easy for rodents to get in. Not sure about fresh air intake below the cowl.

Air Intake below drip shield passenger side:
It's in engine compartment.
Bit of a puzzle to open and have to make sure it reconnects correctly to bottom half.
Look in Owners Manual on how to unlatch fuse box from bottom junction box and open its lid.
I'd have to agree it's a "dufus" design.
I should have said Factory Service Manual.
From another Maverick hybrid I see the High Temperature MCase+ 40A, 60A, 40A fuses for the PTCs on the top row.
I haven't pulled apart my hybrid's BJB to look at it.
I did on my previous 23 2.0L Ecoboost and those fuses not installed since no PTCs:
The 2023 manual says hybrid has electric booster heaters.
Electric Booster Heater Operation
The electric booster heater ensures that the passenger compartment can be quickly warmed up when ambient temperatures are low.
It is a heater element made up of ceramic resistors that is mounted in the...
Connecting negative lead of a charger or a load to chassis ground makes the current pass thru the BMS that's connected at the battery negative terminal and allows the BMS to measure current into and out of the battery.
The way to bypass the BMS is to connect the charger or a load directly to...
I guess tapping into the CHMSL wire for a trailer brake controller's input and fused +12V to power the brake controller is how to do it as I don't know that there is a separate connector for it on the hybrid.
Center High Mount Stop Light is from the passenger side mounted BCM on C2280F Pin 57...
Wiring looks same as a 2023 2.5L.
Edit: had to dig deeper, 2.0 and 2.5L both show up in manual.
