I pondered adapting an existing tiedown to fit the Mav rails, and was glad to see this post. I did the same with the exact tiedowns but with a slight change. I replaced the M8 bolts with M8 thumb screws (with a 3/4" head to fit the available space in the tiedown), making it easier to relocate...

It has happened to me also....key in ignition, running, while my wife was sitting inside. I got out to pick up the mail....door closed and locked...Luckily, the window was open...Make sure the keypad is functioning before this happens....locking your wife in the truck is humorous...
