Originally I installed that wireless keypad on the tail gate. I'm diving out of this truck and it was more logical location for the guy in a bulky dry suit with massive tank on a back. Idea was perfect. But honestly that location didnt work that well. I always had a red light on the pad and...
Yep, I'm thinking about connecting both crossbeam with two simple beams. It will add stability to the whole system and a couple of attachments points ( can attach long showel or something else there). But in general it's not required. System is stable on its own
Seems like this is the cheapest option from McMaster. For the 2 bolt bracket in black color. I ordered it there because I can buy from them with significant clearance (company is doing business with them). I ordered 3 different types of brackets from them:

Oh, by the way, don't forget to buy small bottle of loctite to fix all these...
I used four hollow aluminum t-slot rails 2 feet long.
Then on the cross beams itself. They are actually flat on the bottom. So its just a direct contact between two flat surfaces :)
As for the gussets, I used 12 aluminum gussets 47065T798 from McMaster. 4 T-slot fasteners are included with each...
I've been looking for the cheap bed rack which will work with my Truxedo pro x15 for the last two years. And didn't find anything.
Truxedo cs is the most popular option here, but still 900 USD +.
The other racks doesn't work with the cover.
So I found this simple solution on the jeepgladiator...
Easily instaled the led light with access from the passenger side light. The whole installation took like 10 minutes while I wait for the kid school bus.
Tried to attach a video of the amazing result to this post. For some reason downloading process is stuck at 100 present with error message...
