One upside. As I was inspecting the chip and lamenting my misfortune a lady came up to me and exclaimed, "Nice Truck!".
That did help that take a lot of the sting out of it. :giggle:
Picked up my first paint chip. Not quite sure how I got it. Noticed it today after a touch free car wash when I was drying. I had hoped that the $ markup on Hot Pepper Red would maybe translate into more durable paint... but I don't think so.
I have no recollection of dinging it or anything...
I almost crapped my pants after seeing my first $75 fill up (eco-boost).
Doesn't matter what you drive when gas is $4.50 (soon to be $6-$8 or more?) your average person can't afford to go anywhere or spend money on anything except groceries (since those too are almost 25-100% more on almost...
I see I'm in the Canadian section of the forum ("up north" refers to Canada)
I also see you posted the OP, which I clearly attributed to you in my previous post.
What I don't see is a reason for your toxicity. You posted a markup that was insane... I agreed.
What's up with the beef, buddy? I...
*music plays* You're so vain you probably think this post is about you. (See: Carly Simon)
My post was referring to the XLT you posted in the OP that was marked up 15k. Do you remember that?
FYI, Hybrids do in fact come in Lariat trim (at least in the USA, I can't speak for what goes on up...
I can't imagine paying that sort of money for an XLT.
I got my Lariat Lux with constrained items at a markup... but at least it's top of the line, ya know?
Area 51 is the most popular color, eh?
I guess that makes sense when you consider that Area 51 and Velocity blue are the only two (IMO) interesting colors without an up-charge. The gray/white/black/silver all looks good but rather uninspiring.
Still working on the "fleet" part of my business by the Maverick is absolutely the perfect work truck for a lot of tradesmen.
I got a fully loaded Lariat (if I gotta be the one driving it, it's gotta be nice) but the thought did cross my mind "I could get two hybrid XL's for this price"... then...
I have to disagree. The dealers will get off scot-free. Threatening allocations only works as long as supply is constrained. At some point supply will open up and Ford will be throwing more vehicles at these dealers than they know what to do with - regardless of past transgressions.
The OP is guilty of plenty of snarky/provocative commentary that didn't do much to contribute to the 'good vibes' they're lamenting aren't found here in abundance.
Be the change you want to see.
You didn't read it right. You got it all wrong.
Stop 'trusting' your fellow drivers. Don't do it.
A sizable percentage of them don't have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle. A sizable percentage of them are under the influence of drugs (whether illegal or by prescription). A sizable...
Yikes! I think you win the award for 'hottest take'. It's one thing to give a reality check on the OP's driving habits. It's another to just be plain mean.
Karma is a strange thing. I'd be careful out there. I suspect you're due for a rebalancing.
I've used the Kurgo bucket seat cover on my passenger(/doggo) side for quite some time. Used it on my SUV for over a year and now I swapped it to my the Maverick. Fit is pretty good.
Durable. Machine washable. Seems mud/water proof (maybe just resistant).
At $40 it doesn't break the bank. The...
Some folks will just never understand the "safety first" mind set.
The poster above literally said op "could have let off the gas..." (nevermind braking) but then goes into some tangent about how they shouldn't have to drive defensively and that the less safe option was a perfectly reasonable...
I'm not sure I'd call this taking the high road. 😆
Thanks for the laughs. I never thought I'd hear someone say, "you should always break certain rules of the road but expect other drivers to NEVER ever break other ones" with a straight face.
Accusing others of unnecessarily throwing around insults as you levy accusations of narcissism shows a stunning lack of self awareness. Bravo.
FYI, your attitude tells me everything I need to know about your driving.
Howdy folks. Here is another Safety Tip from Stick.
Always exceed the speed...
Damn near totaled his Maverick while driving recklessly and your final assessment is "pretty good job"?
😆🤡💩😆
*Admits these types of roads are quite dangerous.
*Doubles Down on his insane belief that you can have 'expectations' of your fellow driver.
