I don't notice much flapping or movement. There is a little rippling I guess though. It's my first truck/tonneau so I don't have much reference. I'll try and hit a video soon.
No towing but love that I can haul stuff that wouldn't easily fit in a non-truck. I've hauled a full-size refrigerator, several loads of construction debris, and a few piles of rock, stone, and other yard things. I look for things to haul now.
Same for is. After taking the home's front door off we had maybe a half inch of wiggle room. The fridge you moved looks like a beast. I can only imagine squeezing it through.
Helped my neighbor haul a refrigerator. The vertical 2×6 was in the perfect position to hold the fridge snug at the bottom. The best part was my neighbor's reaction, "this truck is really useful," after seeing all the well-placed tie down rings.
That's exactly what I did, only more by accident. I was just learning about the Maverick in July. I needed a more reliable vehicle and after a month of looking / researching, my local dealer had something close to what I wanted come in (I just happened to call them 30 min after it arrived). I...
Me - parked my carbonized gray XLT at a brewery while my wife, dog, and I toured downtown.
You - parked your identical Mav next to mine while we walked.
Thank you for the thrill!
Is it too late to still talk bottles? I've been using the deep center console to hold a standard nalgene. Fits perfectly height wise. Now I just need to insulate it and add ice!
Totally with you. There are plenty of studies showing that driving below the speed limit can be just as dangerous as excessive speeding. I set the cruise at 6 to 8 mph over and let other people stress if that's not fast enough for them.
Great review! I took my first Mav-enabled road trip a couple weeks ago. Had the same experience. Such a pleasure to drive.
I live in Charlotte (well, Mt Holly) to, and can't wait to take it to the BRP.
