I remember one interaction with a car salesman when looking for a Fusion w/manual back in 2014........."we don't order those because they don't sell!". I asked him how many would sell if he had one on the lot......................crickets....lol. Found a dealer 60 miles away in Indy that had 2...
Sadly-the numbers wouldn't be profitable for Ford. I have a 2014 Fusion with the Ecoboost 1.6 and 6 speed manual. According to published sales figures-these combos accounted for only 1/2 of 1% of 2014 production. 2013 and 2014 were only available years.
Electrical power companies are not my idea of a " little guy caring company" either....
I'm all for nuclear ,too-it ended World War II and saved many U.S. lives -and powers many U.S. submarines .
Not buying your big leap to accrediting Hybrid Vehicles production to left wing radicals-clean...
Glad most stations around here have backup generators to run those pumps. I can fill up in 5 minutes-can your electric car do the same? (While using coal -fired generated electricity and precious metals imported from Africa and China mined by child slave labor)? I just don't get the "zero...
I totally understand-good times in good rides are hard to forget-I still miss the Fusion I sold to my grandson 3 years ago-good part is he really keeps it clean and well maintained while racking up the miles going back and forth to college........
Thanks for the positive post-we all could use an upper. I drove by the collision repair center today (where my Mav is parked awaiting repairs after being hit while parked at my house)-and it still makes me smile , even in its sad state it is an engineering marvel and a great vehicle. Can't wait...
I may be too far right compared to some-but I would NEVER be interested in a vehicle that needs to be plugged in to a monopoly controlled fuel source for it's only source of power. I don't have any other alternative electricity supplier in my town if it goes down , but there are at least 6 gas...
So sorry to hear about your loss-Thank God your family was protected . The Blue Mavericks are having a tough week (mine was hit but not as bad as yours). I feel your pain-it's tough not to become attached to such a fine vehicle. Impressed by how well it held up and protected everyone. Please...
Small update-good news in my book-She was actually reaching in the back seat to steady a tipping mop bucket in her back seat-so she was not impaired -just bad judgement. Maverick driver's door opens and closes normally and the hood was not even bent(opened and closed too). When the wrecker...
Great looking Maverick!! Good to hear more positive talk about dealers-like my experience in Seymour ,IN at Bob Poynter Ford. Just don't be surprised if your wife becomes more and more possessive of the new ride . My wife was a skeptic (she really wanted an ICE Escape ),until she realized how...
Good point I had already thought about-even though this was my "retirement truck"- I am not one who trades cars often. Guess that's why my current "fleet" is only 9 vehicles now-lol.
Driver was a 4 month pregnant young lady-she had insurance and kept apologizing-yes her car-it was only about 6 months old , so can't really blame the car this time-
Just picked up by the wrecker-good news is she seems to be very capable of "running". Even with flat tire and bent steelie wheel pushed back into the wheel well, was still trying to pull itself up the flatbed wrecker. Pretty sad to watch.....I'm just too attached to my vehicles to not feel the...
Around 9 p.m. last night , a careless young girl lost control of her KIA and nailed my Hybrid Mav .(parked in front of the house) in the left front corner-pushing it back and sideways at least 5 feet into the front yard. I can only hope it is not totaled -don't want to think of waiting a year...
