I'm wondering the same thing......Some want to question the facts even though they haven't fully read the facts.
Cheap generic gas does not have the additive package that upgrades the basic fuel to Top Tier quality. If you want a vehicle to last (any brand or age)-don't feed it just any...
The only reason I included nitrogen is this. If your tires remain at a correct pressure due to less leakage, they should offer less rolling resistance and better mpg. That has been my research results anyway . I don't advise overinflating tires ever-the safety concerns far outweigh the mpg...
Front "chin" spoiler improved mileage for me on several smaller previous cars. Maverick already has front "mud flaps" to divert air-maybe a full length spoiler will be my next step...............
I have always believed a tonneau cover helps to improve highway mileage (minimal , but still positive). Still not convinced a K&N style filter is measurably worth installing. Anyone have personal experience with any mods they have done on Mavericks (or other personal rides) that have positively...
87 octane Top Tier gas is my only choice . My research and real-world testing proves this is the most cost-effective fuel to use. "cheap generic" gas from Circle K ,Casey's ,Walmart , Hucks and other questionable suppliers are not worth the risk . Around here Top Tier gas is usually only a few...
Fun to drive ,Awesome mpg 45-48 everyday average ,Perfect size for so many jobs ,Great ride and handling , Easy to get in and out of , and the exclusivity of owning a vehicle that not too many have-no Hybrid Mavericks have been seen by anyone I have encountered in my 6 months of ownership. There...
Sorry for your pain. It hurts to lose the use of a good truck. Hopefully it can be repaired and not too long. Mine took 83 days and $13 k-good luck with the repairs-hope all goes well.
386 miles one way................will be there following weekend for AMC races-Cordova is a great track with lots of shade and nice shelter house-lots of friendly people work there. Wish I could afford both weekends. Anyone planning on going may find cheaper hotel rates just across the river in...
"Loud" is not the term I would use......'Different" for sure would be my take-kind of diesel-like , I guess attributed to the Atkinson cycle engine. I do enjoy the difference from my other cars-starting out nice and quiet in full electric mode constantly reminds me that I can smile as I drive...
I wonder if a tankful of 89 octane would be worth trying (just for shits and giggles) to further improve the performance. I'm just too frugal to try it , since it does so well on Top Tier regular 87 gas . Not having a turbo (like my Fusion or EB Mustang) , which they both "wake up" when treated...
I am speaking in theory I guess---the at-fault driver's insurance company would be liable for all damages caused by Their customer's wreck. That should be replacement of the vehicle they damaged.
There is a certain stretch of highway just outside a nearby town known as the "drag race". It is the last red light before a 1/2 mile straight stretch of 4 lane non-residential road , where it is kind of a daily thing after work where traffic competes to see who can make it to the cutoff point...
I feel your pain-must be a blue truck thing..............Mine took 81 days to repair ($12k damage). I would say the insurance co. should have the burden to find a replacement if totaled. Good luck...keep us posted......prayers for you :)
FWIW you may want to search out a Pull a Part if you have one within driving distance . I bought one at Pull a Part for MIL's Ford Escape to switch out wiring and switches-their standard price is only $69 for doors .
Amen...seems strange having to re-learn all the features and seat adjustments ,etc. I was sitting behind the wheel for a minute and was actually surprised when the hybrid clicks and burps started....sweet music!
Just wanted to share the joy. After being hit by a careless KIA driver almost 3 months ago(while parked in front of the house)-the repairs are done. Picked her up yesterday after work and now starts the re-learning process of how to enjoy a great vehicle. It smells like new again and drives...
Yes-please -my 2014 Fusion w/6speed manual might wear out one day and then maybe be replaced by this. Ford really dropped the ball by dropping Fusion in the U.S.A.......
