This thread really shows the diversity of owners Ford has attracted (great news for marketing ). I (being a confessed car nut ) find it hard to believe that Mavericks were not on everyone's radar as a new , innovative ,economical vehicle -I wanted one since day one , but had just bought a new...
IMHO I still prefer the '24 over the '25 -'26. Someone will take the lead and produce a "face-lift kit " to correct this new look . It is better looking in certain colors -but the "24 looks great in all colors .
Congrats and welcome back-great color combo ! I remember how I missed mine while it was in the body shop for almost 3 months after mine being almost totaled while being parked in front of the house . Hope you have a long happy experience with the new one!
Mine was only about a month old when we drove nonstop to Daytona (around 950 miles ) and had no problems-(was stuck in traffic after a wreck for probably an hour in Kentucky, too) My mileage gradually improved during the trip (breaking in the engine helps loosen up the internals ) By the time we...
Since my wife is handicapped and stays in the truck and works on embroidering projects while I do a lot of the shopping-she is more approachable ,I guess , for curious people wanting real , honest opinions . I have been blessed with a Maverick without any problems I have heard from some of you...
Have you been inducted into the Maverick Sales Team lately like we have? I'm wondering if the upcoming holiday season is causing this or some other dynamic has ? I have been approached in many parking lots lately while shopping(Walmart , Sam's ,Menard's ,Goodwill, etc. ) by inquirng people...
So great to hear you are OK . Sounds like your guardian angel was definitely there to help . Ford deserves quite a bit of credit too . My truck was hit while parked -by a careless driver and I am still amazed how it held up . Hope you find another soon and to your liking -take care -God Bless .
15 months and 16k miles later......Heck yes!! This little trucklet is so versatile and inexpensive to drive-I'd buy again in a heartbeat . Recall for backup camera glitch is the only time it's been back to dealer . Warm weather fuel mpg right at 46mpg.....cold weather mpg 36 mpg . Yes , it is my...
1) Ford reputation (love my f150 and f350) 2)hybrid option(seriously had been looking for one for over a year) over 40 mpg-sign me up! 3) local dealer miraculously had this one pop up on lot after the original customer who special-ordered it backed out after waiting over 9 months. And it...
I can not understand, ever, why anyone would "cheap out" and not use full synthetic oil for use in a vehicle that they have paid thousands for. Full synthetic has so many advantages-less wear -better fuel mileage-longer change intervals-among others. The slight extra cost- maybe an extra $1.00...
Using fuel with anything higher than 87 octane (hybrid)is and has always been a sign of ignorance . You can feel "superior" or better about yourself by paying more for a necessity ,but it is a lie . Top Tier 87 octane is the best you can do for your truck -spending more will only make you poorer...
I was told a long time ago by mechanic who did a lot of new car prep that tires were "overinflated" to cut down on flat spotting of tires while in transport. Makes sense to me...
I have always been watchful (paranoid) for being rear-ended in all my vehicles. I decided to use a custom applied reflective tape stripe to the top of tailgate....gives me a little peace of mind.....
9200 miles here on the clock. I've been averaging around 45mpg for quite a while . About 50/50 city highway(mostly state highways at 60-65 mph. ) I have never tried eco or sport mode-satisfied with standard mode. Last tank was 117 miles on 2.5 gallons (refill). I don't hold up traffic or drive...
Distracted driving is the problem. Texting and speaking hands free is still being distracted from the job of piloting a vehicle . Would you want to fly on a plane where the pilot is distracted by other conversations and distractions other than flying the plane? That is my observation of drivers...
Tapping the brakes for flashing taillights---> one of the best defensive strategies I still use repeatedly. General defensive driving has always been needed and continues to be the way to stay accident free. I still think the technology to disable cell phones while in motion should be applied to...
