I have got into the habit of turning my light knob to off every time I get out and park so I can see the tail lights. Turning the knob to off so the lights will work when I get back in. I will take it back to Ford the 1st time it occurs again.
Steveob83,
I told the technician that there are others on the forum with no mods having the same issue but it made no difference to him. Thanks for your reply. Did you ever find out the cause of your tail light outage?
Update on my intermittent tail light issue. Received my truck back from Ford today. Essentially the dealer stated that the problem was caused by the LED light bulbs I had installed. The dealer had asked me to replace the LEDs with the originals and return it back to stock which I did. I also had...
Took my 22 Maverick hybrid in today for that intermittent tail light issue will keep you all posted see what they say I was able to replicate the problem in front of them with the service manager present so I am hoping that this will help resolve the problem and ford.com has opened a case for me...
KJ86, I disconnected my battery, left it off for about 30 minutes. It looked promising at first. The light worked for at least 6 unlocking/starts then it failed again. The passenger tail light stopped working. A turn of the light knob gets it back on. Any update on yours?
Hello, I'm having the same issue with my passenger side tail light frequently not working. Turning the light knob turns it back on. I created a new thread not knowing this one is out here but @Ford has replied requesting vin and dealer info. I hope they will help me resolve this issue. Thanks...
Hello KJ86, thanks for posting on this issue. I have not been to the dealer since I noticed this but when I do, I will be sure to post any findings or remedies. I still turn my knob to off. It automatically returns itself to auto and the light comes back on. I have been doing this for a while...
Gullzway,
Yes, my tail light is frequently off mostly on the passenger side. Now I check it everytime. I have to turn the light knob and it turns it back on. It has been getting annoying. Now I know it's not only me, maybe others that have not noticed. You have the original bulbs on?
I haven't had an opportunity to use it I have only plugged it in to check it once. Last week my passenger tail light has been going off intermittently and I get it to come on by turning the light switch knob. I don't know if it has anything to do with the diodes or the Lasfit led lights, or...
Hello, I called roadmaster 800 # and asked for the wiring kit. At the time they did not have a Maverick specific one but they sent me a universal kit with diodes. Hope this helps.
On a side note, I do have the Lasfit bulb upgrade as well as diodes for towing lights when towing behind an RV. It may be possible that diodes could go bad?
