I've bought 2 different cars with hail damage from family. Drove each for over 100k miles. If its not too bad, and you're not leasing, its really up to whether it would bug you or not to see the dents every day. I just left my cars dirty, the divots were less visible that way.
Thanks everyone, I think I'm going to roll the dice and go ahead and get everything done. Fingers crossed the Maverick gods are with me (and the dealership).
I need an oil change, but am leery of taking it in to the dealership for fear that they install the software updates that are/were bricking the Hybrids. I feel like we are seeing less posts about the issue. It that true? Have they actually slowed, or are people just not reporting it as much...
I currently have a hammock in the back seat, and my dog wears a harness with line attached at the seatbelt buckle. But she's 50 pounds and sometimes puts her foot in the part of the hammock that is not supported by the seat, so the hammock is starting to show a lot of wear and will have to be...
When sitting at a red light, the truck doesn't sit "quietly". The RPMs aren't revving, but it feels like its stopped on a bridge that's bouncing. Someone on here mentioned something similar and said it almost feels like the truck is trying to overcome the brakes (like what happens when the e...
I have a 2022 Hybrid that got the software update and no issues in the month or two since. Mine was built in late May 2022, in case we can narrow it down to a certain set of months. I am unhappy about the "surging" that my truck now does when stopped in the first 15 minutes or so of driving...
It is significantly better for me after the last software recall update (the one that deals with some emissions stuff, a brake software update is included but not obvious).
I have the same problem with Apple Maps after a recent iOS update. Waze still works as usual. I played with the settings in Apple Maps and got the verbal directions back for that drive, but it went right back to no verbal commands the next time. So I now just use Waze.
We bought at 5 Star Ford in Dallas, easy order, no markup, easy no-pressure financing. I told them not to add anything on to the truck, and they honored that. BUT, they did take the Ford reward points I earned when I bought the truck and "purchased" an oil change package with them. This was...
Yes, its very noticeable and annoying. It feels like being stopped on a bridge, where you get bouncing from the other traffic on the bridge. The rough idle isn't consistent either. There's no pattern to the idle quirks.
I'm really excited about this. My biggest complaint in my Maverick is the infotainment system. It has to fully boot before I can plug in my phone or it will not recognize my phone. It doesn't send phone call audio output to the speakers on most of my calls, and I get an occasional dropped...
Just be very careful with this part number - some older units that popped up on ebay when I searched that part number did not have the digital temp display, and some did not have the heated seat or steering wheel buttons.
I have to wait until the radio in the car is FULLY booted up and the connect the wire. It always connects if I do that. If I connect as the radio is booting up, it only connects about 20% of the time. Are you waiting until the radio is fully booted up? If not, try that.
