  1. Maverick is a success but they need to go harder

Me thinks you might be a wee bit touchy. I really liked the trunk. Not a big deal.
  2. Maverick is a success but they need to go harder

Sadly a hybrid Ridgeline will likely be 60k. I ran into town earlier. 48 mpg. I got an indicated 30 mpg in my Honda once but in real calculated average it was just under 27. Their computer MPG was embarrassing off. My last camping trip showed 17mpg. Once calculated it was barely over 14...
  3. Maverick is a success but they need to go harder

The Ridgeline has a trunk under the rear of the bed. Comes in very handy. 7.3 cubit feet. One thing i miss in the Ford.
  4. Maverick is a success but they need to go harder

I traded a 2019 Ridgeline for my 2026 Maverick. Fuel mileage is really my only knock but it still beat most trucks there. The under bed storage compartment was great. I used it a lot. I can't get nearly as much in my Maverick. 85,000 and there had been a few recalls but not a thing ever went...
  5. Members who seem to disappear

One has to take the negativity on a site like this with a grain of salt. Seems the negative can cause some to move on. Maybe because they traded or just because. I bought a 2012 VW TDI and the forums were full of posts about additives and so forth to keep your high pressure fuel system from...
  6. Ford CEO Jim Farley’s Right To Repair Comment

I'm not saying that auto manufacturers won't seek every angle to squeeze every penny out of you, just look at Ford wanting you to pay monthly for the wi-fi package but I don't get too riled up myself because I did a report on this in college in 1980. All cars were going to have sealed hoods...
  7. Ford CEO Jim Farley’s Right To Repair Comment

It's largely irrelevant. The facts are you can't work on today's cars without expensive computer instruments and tools. The corner mechanic can't afford that. Heck, many Cadillac dealers dropped Cadillac because they couldn't afford the new equipment. Our Hybrid parts are warrantied for 8...
  8. Is 4k Towing Package Worth It

And that should be noted BUT I am certainly glad Ford added the full size to the towing package. Since I will be towing, towing with a donut isn't encouraging and being left on the side of the road with the inflator and a trailer is no fun either.
  9. Oil Change Frequency 2026 Hybrid Maverick

The one thing I will really miss with my Honda Ridgeline is being able to change the oil without even jacking it up. You access the filter through the wheel well. That noted, I always join up on boards like this because after going through the nonsense (not that the nonsense can't be fun)...
  10. Is 4k Towing Package Worth It

I just got my truck. I wouldn't have bought one without a tow package. I'll only note going down the road the possible resale opportunities. Uhaul uses a 4 pin set up so you are good there with an occasional use and no package but I'll be pulling our 16 foot Casita trailer. 7 pin and as towed...
  11. The new Light Blue 2026 Maverick color is out!

My first post. I don't even have things set up yet. I got some good chuckles reading the thread. I just got my light blue Lariat Hybrid. I stared at it a long time. I kinda would have liked a green and seriously considered black but I simply know I wouldn't be bothered in keeping the black clean...
