Took my new USB drive out of the Mav and plugged it into my computer and found an extra file had been added to the drive by the system in the Mav. The name of the file was basically the VIN of Mav. Why is Ford doing this. I've never seen anything like this before. Kind of creepy, if you ask me.

I had no idea that file name was my VIN. I suppose my next move is to see if any strange files with that same name show up on the new USB stick. And if so what would one do about it? Has anyone else ever seen such a thing?

It's possible Ford didn't intend the bed recesses you are trying to use to be even with the lip of the tailgate. I set mine up with some 2X lumber in lower recesses and it worked out fine.
