All of my previous models (Hondas, 1 Mazda - never again!) were entry-level stick-shifts. Upgraded (finally!) to automatic transmission in the Maverick to prevent husband's complaining in traffic. The XL Maverick is where it's at! Don't need all the fancy crap.
Dang. I think the most mileage I've put on any of my cars in one year is between 20-25K. Presently at 13,500+ and will be curious to see where I end up as of April 7th, 2023 - the day I took possession of my Maverick last year.
Not sure if it's the Maverick in general, but I've had to do more defensive driving since getting my Maverick than in all of my years of driving. I feel like people are AIMING for the truck. Was driving home from work on January 13th (FRIDAY THE 13th! YIKES!!) and was in the righthand lane and...
Honestly never paid attention to Ford cars/SUVs. Then the Maverick came along and turned me into a first time Ford owner. Hell has officially frozen over. 🤣
A Ford mechanic told me it's essentially a Ford Fusion. Not sure how I feel about that, but hey, it's a choice I have to deal with for at least the next five years.
I got to LOOK at an XL Ecoboost, but because it belonged to the service guy I couldn't sit in it or test drive it. This is likewise my first Ford, first truck. I ordered the EB because the salesman was up front in stating that "there would be a considerable wait time." 16 weeks to the day of...
Hmmm. This is one of those "don't get mad...get even!" moments. Everyone within 100 miles of this dealership needs to go have a Taco Bell Fiesta and eat yourselves silly...and then go empty your bowels at the front door of this dealership as a testament to their shitty practices.
That will be my next Maverick color unless they come up with something really unusual in the next few years. Missed out on the whole Sunburst Orange (or whatever it was called) color for the Honda Element back in the day.
That's awesome you got that much for your truck. I had a similar experience when I sold my 2014 Honda Accord. Might as well have driven it for free for the last 7 years.
While I'm sure dealers are doing a considerable markup, seeing the Carmax and other dealers prices (checked out Carvana...
U-Haul has Mavericks for rent? Haven't seen that around here, but...I saw a Maverick at the 7-11 today being used as a company vehicle for our local beer distributor!
