  1. 2025 2.0 EcoBoost Oil Filter

Good evening Maverick friends. So a new tidbit that I haven’t really seen discussed yet is that the new redesigned 2.0 engine has changed filters. The new filter is FL-2127. For those who may be interested, an FL-500S also fits but is larger. This doesn’t really add much in terms of performance...
  2. 6 month Brembo brakes review, and half spirited how to!

No worries at all. I wouldn’t think the rotors would change but I didn’t verify myself. Part numbers for the 2025 Maverick Lobo: Left caliper: LX6Z2B121A Right caliper: LX6Z2B120A L/R bracket: LX6Z2B292B L/R brake caliper spring: E1GZ2B486A Brake pads: LX6Z2001B I’ve attached the link...
  3. Why new intake/manifold design for 2025 Maverick?

I’m probably coming off back and forth but just doing my best to generalize with a summary of about 10 years of development experience through the years. Yes LSPI is very bad. Has it been a root cause destroyer of inline EcoBoosts? Not that I’m aware of. However with the increased chase for...
  4. Why new intake/manifold design for 2025 Maverick?

I guess I should have emphasized sooner that this isn’t a major concern for the engine.
  5. Why new intake/manifold design for 2025 Maverick?

I’ve stated why it was redesigned and then you rebutted the answer. The engine was redesigned for long term efficiency and to eliminate LSPI that’s been noted during post-market testing. I don’t know how much more direct I can give of an answer to why than that. I’m just trying to be helpful and...
  6. Why new intake/manifold design for 2025 Maverick?

Just because something is widespread doesn’t mean it causes enough of a problem to bring attention to it. Valve contamination is a long term and slow building issue. It doesn’t cause catastrophic failure and most symptoms are in the NVH category. Over time there’s going to be performance loss. I...
  7. Deep sleep after being on charger for six days

Like I said this is beyond my awareness level. I just know there’s pages and pages of people working to resolve the issues you mention and a lot of it has to do with how the BMS handles charging both key on and key off though I could be interpreting it all wrong
  8. Deep sleep after being on charger for six days

This science is beyond me I just know this SOC stuff is an obsession for F-150 PowerBoost owners. They think the BMS is the devil, which generally it can be because it targets around an 80% SOC so even though you had it on a charger the whole time the BMS was likely mitigating it
  9. Deep sleep after being on charger for six days

How are you connected to the battery? Direct to the negative terminal or through the BMS post?
  10. 6 month Brembo brakes review, and half spirited how to!

Again these are questions unexplored currently. I don’t have any information other than these are populating in Ford Parts now. The rotors aren’t listed yet as far as I can see in a short time I spent looking at unrelated things
  11. 6 month Brembo brakes review, and half spirited how to!

https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/caliper-asy-brake-less-pads-disc-left-front-rear-25l-p-brcf514 The Corsair Grand Touring model uses these calipers. They are also noted as fitting 2025 Mavericks (Lobo). I believe you need the bracket that’s also listed but not for sure. This will be a summer...
  12. 6 month Brembo brakes review, and half spirited how to!

If you’re feeling froggy enough I believe the Lobo “upgraded” brakes are just the dual piston units from the Corsair. They’re fairly cheap and are listed now on Ford Parts for 2025 Mavericks. I might look into this swap soon
  13. Why new intake/manifold design for 2025 Maverick?

Late stages meaning 60,000 miles and greater I cannot source internal documents for you I’m sorry. The second gen Nano engine was fast to market for some of these reasons however. And with the multitude of issues plaguing the I-4 engines this was a lower priority issue. Also this can be thrown...
  14. Why new intake/manifold design for 2025 Maverick?

As an powertrain engineer valve contamination was seen as a long term side effect of the initial design of EcoBoost engines. Eliminating port injection was heavily weighed originally because we knew the side effects were 100% going to be carbon buildup on valves reducing efficiency in the late...
  15. How to turn off AdvanceTrac / Stability Control

I’ve been meaning to look into this one. Considering the LOBO has drift mode I imagine there is some ability to get to this. Fun with Forscan soon when I can
  16. 2025 Lariat Remote Start not Heating seats and Steering wheel

Okay just was curious. The automatically heating seats is new for 2025 so they must have broke something. It isn’t maintained by Sync 4 but by the HVAC Module and Body Control Module
  17. 2025 Lariat Remote Start not Heating seats and Steering wheel

I’m going to agree and feel like this may be a software bug. Also the addition of “Auto” for the heated seats themselves is a new revision I haven’t seen implemented on this platform. I’m not talking about the settings page you pictured but the icon showing “A” which is itself a mode for the...
  18. 2.0 EcoBoost Performance Tunes?

So many companies don’t seem to grasp that the new engine has had two years on the market for them to do development and research on. I have already reached out to Livernois in the past and they stated they will be working on them soon. I’ve also tried to get S&B to use my vehicle as a test bed...
  19. Paddle Shifters install on Maverick XL -- DIY install instructions, photos & video

No don’t just change those. I don’t know what line it is. I’m just saying those red numbers are the differences between the two vehicles as a whole. I thought it would be more similar than that. It should only be one digit for M mode however I don’t know which digit it is as there’s dozens of...
  20. Paddle Shifters install on Maverick XL -- DIY install instructions, photos & video

Well I am not having a ton of luck. Hopefully I'll be able to try the EZ mode this weekend and see if it's in there but for anyone who is interested, these are the differences that could be found between a 2025 Maverick Lariat 2.0 AWD and a 2025 Maverick Tremor. Hopefully it's in EZ mode because...
