  1. ACCM update SSM53801 did not work in my case for Deep Sleep

More anecdotal evidence. Went on a beach vacation last week so I parked Mav in the garage, double locked, for a week. The 12v AGM was charged to 72% and the weather was in the 70’s all week. When we came home, I started Mav and the SOC was 39% ….. no dome lights but started right up. Put...
  2. Is the recall that swaps in AGM batteries exclusive to Ecoboost or does it apply to hybrids as well?

You are by far, the exception although the EB seems to have a much lower incidence rate verses the Hybrid. The issue is much more common in the Hybrid where there is no alternator.
  3. Hybrid Engine Temperature Indicator Thingy

Same here using my OBDLink MX+. However, I did hit 200 degrees on an hot day in Sport Mode and still no fifth bar. Has anyone hit the fifth bar? What was your temp for the fifth bar if you know it via the coolant PID?
  4. Is the recall that swaps in AGM batteries exclusive to Ecoboost or does it apply to hybrids as well?

AGM is a necessity in the Hybrid Mav based on overall stronger performance. You’ll still get infrequent sleep notices but, you’ll have very little fear of a non start. My AGM SOC has reached 36% and I still had dome lights and easy start. The AGM is capable of much deeper discharge. I...
  5. Deep Sleep FIX - Maverick Hybrid 12V battery - One Year Update

Finally found the incoming 12v battery amps PID and I can confirm that you are spot on. Starts out at 7-9 for a couple minutes then drops down to 5-6 for a few minutes then drops again to 3-4 after about ten minutes and settles at 0-2 after another fifteen to twenty minutes. It’s no wonder...
  6. Deep Sleep FIX - Maverick Hybrid 12V battery - One Year Update

Try using the “OBD Adapter Voltage” to report your 12v battery voltage. Also consider using the “12v Battery SOC” PIDs to keep track of the state of charge %. An AGM will not completely eliminate your deep sleep events but it will greatly reduce them and you can be much more confident in...
  7. Deep Sleep FIX - Maverick Hybrid 12V battery - One Year Update

I’m not monitoring the four PIDs you mentioned but, I’ll take a look at what’s available. I was following hybrid battery age but I replaced that measure with a hybrid battery PID for amps and volts. I also follow hybrid battery temp. Charged the AGM for three days prior to install and did...
  8. Deep Sleep FIX - Maverick Hybrid 12V battery - One Year Update

OBDLink MX+ dongle readings at truck startup and shutdown. Great software package with access to all kinds of interesting and some obscure PIDs specifically identified for Ford Maverick. No Forscan changes. Driving patterns were unchanged during the winter with no extra idling. Absent...
  9. Monitoring engine / transmission / battery / HVAC parameters using Car Scanner

I’m pretty sure that your OBD port never powers off. I have the OBDLink MX+ with a companion app that is great to monitor anything you want. It’s a bit pricy though. It sleeps after 10 minutes, post shut down, drawing 2 milliamps (69 milliamps when active) but, your OBD port is...
  10. Deep Sleep FIX - Maverick Hybrid 12V battery - One Year Update

I installed the AC Delco LN1 (H4) AGM with no problems. It’s a drop in fit and a real champ particularly during the cold season. Even took my time on the install and it still only took about 20 minutes. It will fit just fine.
  11. Crazy Hybrid Experiment Question... will Hybrid run in electric-only if you run out of gas?

I remember that post where the guy wanted to see how far he could get beyond miles to empty at zero. If I remember correctly, he got about 80 more miles beyond the zero miles to empty which is also consistent with the post that you have about 2 gallons left when the miles to empty reach zero...
  12. Is my battery adequate?

It’s adequate until it isn’t. Eyes wide open …. The OEM battery may last longer if you periodically put it on a smart charger. You will inevitably run into deep sleep issues and potentially a non-start/sulfation. The lesser OEM battery is a toy compared to what should have been installed...
  13. Mabett | This Phone Holder is a Game-Changer! [Owner's Real Shots]

Yeah …. I gave up on the mag charger in my Lariat and I use the USB-C port to charge my phone. Works great. I think we high jacked the OP discussion.
  14. Mabett | This Phone Holder is a Game-Changer! [Owner's Real Shots]

I agree. I have a thin case that’s specifically mag safe but, when I use the Mav mag charger, my phone gets super hot and charges super slow. Almost useless as a charger. By example, put my phone on the charger for 30 minutes while driving and it picks up maybe 5% on a good day.
  15. Mabett | This Phone Holder is a Game-Changer! [Owner's Real Shots]

Got one for my Mav and I really like it but, I would suggest a couple of things. First, after install, it rattled on every road bump so I put one small, thin, light duty adhesive felt pad (round green ones) on the left side of the unit housing and reinstalled it. Snugged it up perfectly; no...
  16. New CSP Campaign: Driver's side seat buckle replacement

So this is a new one that just showed up on my Ford Pass app. Haven’t seen it anywhere else. The fun never ends!!
  17. ICON on my dash - what is it?

Push it on to activate it. You’ll see a dashboard icon come on to let you know that it is active.
  18. Deep Sleep FIX - Maverick Hybrid 12V battery - One Year Update

After a recent 4.5 hour drive, my AGM went from a 44% SOC to 84%. That’s the highest I’ve been able to charge the AGM thru driving. Installed AGM August 2024 and it performed well thru the New England winter. Even went as low as a 35% SOC and still had dome lights and start power.
  19. Mudflaps

Long term for me was about 30 days. I could already see the paint rub lines from the factory installed Ford mud flaps so based on the MTC advice, I removed them right away and replaced with Mabett mud flaps. It won’t take long for the Ford mud flaps to mess up your paint where they wrap...
  20. Rear Shock Boot keeps failing on Maverick Hybrid FWD

No heavy loads at all. If fact, virtually no loads carried yet except for sand chairs to the nearby lake. Just cleaned off the piston rod with isopropyl alcohol. No oil residue at all. Pushed the boot back in place with the zip tie attached. Felt a bit more friction with the zip tie...
