  1. How to keep the mice at bay?

This is the reverse engineered and cost effective formula that I’ve been using for several years. It’s a dual taste and smell repellent and works extremely well. All the items are easily acquired from Amazon. You’ll need one 32 oz, opaque spray bottle. Make sure it’s opaque because essential...
  2. AGM for Hybrid

If you stick with an H4, 140R, or LN1, they are drop in AGM replacements that don’t require any trim removal. I installed the Delco LN1 AGM in less than 30 minutes and I took my time. Removing trim makes installation easier but, I didn’t want to risk breaking any snap points. At least one...
  3. Mabett | Shield Cover for Underbody Cavity Behind Left Rear Tire Available Now!

Ordered the shield but, then I cancelled the order a few days later when I saw the installation details. I don’t have the tools or the kahoonies to remove frame bolts!!! Removing frame bolts seems a bit extreme for this purpose.
  4. 2024 Maverick Hybrid XLT -Battery Identification

It’s the original flooded POS. It’s not even the better flooded POS that Ford is using to replace these as they die.
  5. Changing to AGM

It’s obviously much easier without the plastic trim but, you do risk breaking the snap points on the trim if you’re not extra careful. I wasn’t willing to take the risk and found it easier than expected to replace the battery with the trim in place particularly if you are using an LN1/140r/H4...
  6. Tell me about using your AGM battery

Replaced the 390 CCA Motorcraft POS battery with an AC Delco LN1 AGM. 2023 Hybrid Lariat lost dome and courtesy lights after the first few months during the winter. Didn’t want to risk a non start this coming winter and beyond. Replaced the battery in August. Voltages are so much more...
  7. Advice for getting Gaslight by the Dealer ? Warranty denied on multiple items, managers talk in a circle

If you really need to poke the bear ….. I was a ghost writer many years ago and addressed these exact kind of product issues. Writing in the “active voice,” I would compose one page letters addressed to the CEO with a “cc” to the COO, CFO, Head of Customer Service, and the local business...
  8. Changing to AGM

A Genius 1 might be a bit light for the task. I have a Genius 5. Once the Noco charges the battery when you get to the green light, it then optimizes the battery over the course of a day or two, depending on the amps for your Noco, where you’ll have a single green pulsing indicator. Your...
  9. Changing to AGM

I put in an LN1 AGM after optimizing it with My Genius 5 then resetting BMS and letting it rest for 8+ hours. Never looked back. Consistently rests at 12.6v to 12.8v and charges at 14.6v to 14.8v as I drive. Two months in and no deep sleep issues. What came out of Mav was a 390 CCA POS...
  10. Tips or tricks to replace the hybrid 12v battery

AC Delco LN1 AGM is a drop in replacement with 520 CCA and 80 min reserve. Much more robust than the OEM POS. Ford does not make an AGM that fits the MAV. There are others that will fit including LN1/Group 140R/H4 will fit.
  11. Best outside truck cover

My 2023 Mav is parked outside 24/7 and with Fall approaching and tree debris coming down including pine sap, I’m look for the best truck cover. I searched the topics for truck covers but found very little info. Anyone have a good recommendation for a Mav truck cover that you have used or like?
  12. Charging Voltage Variance(s)

14.6 to 14.8 for me. Maybe Hybrid is different??? I assumed “at idle” means the truck is sitting still but, running verses truck is shut down??
  13. 12v battery issue not looking good

This one has shown up in several prior threads and other MTC members have used it. It is a half inch taller but, it does barely fit. The problem is the high cost for this battery verses the alternatives. I was able to purchase my ACDelco LN1 AGM online with no issues for about $90 less...
  14. Why should I charge my 12v battery?

AC Delco LN1 AGM is a perfect drop in fit …. 520 CCA verses the 390 CCA Motorcraft POS. Faster charging and slower discharge. No need to pull any plastic trim or modify the side tabs. Bought online from Rock Auto …. Had the best price. Came with the needed vent plug. Battery was...
  15. Very happy with Hybrid Fuel Mileage

The Mav mpg is amazing! First hybrid for me. The other day, drove locally for 41 minutes, about 20 miles, to run an errand. When I turned off the truck, it reported 73.6 mpg …. Just about fell out of my seat! I am typically getting 45 to 60+ mpg locally and 40 mpg highway. I can easily...
  16. 12v battery issue not looking good

I bought the AC Delco LN1 AGM. A few places carry it but Rock Auto had the best price when I bought it. It’s the same fitment as the OEM flooded battery. Has the vent holes on both sides and came with the vent plug to use on the side opposite the vent tube insert. It’s a perfect drop...
  17. 12v battery issue not looking good

The 12v battery issue in hybrids can become a very personal choice. I also get the warranty issue and Ford’s responsibility but, they have been largely unable to solve this issue for three years now with no end in sight. I also purchased the AC Delco LN1 AGM from Rock Auto and I could swear...
  18. Rookie mistake on 12v battery change

Everything was fine. No issues at all after the 8+ hours post BMS reset !!
  19. Rookie mistake on 12v battery change

I practiced this option as well with my Noco Genius 5. It’s workable but I quickly got tired of “plugging in” a brand new truck particularly since it lived outside. It’s a good option if you don’t mind it. For me it was a personal choice to install a much better battery consistent with the...
  20. Rookie mistake on 12v battery change

I was unwilling to invest the time and trouble with the dealership to try and remedy the 390 CCA lead acid battery; they are now replacing with a 470 CCA, equally crappy Motorcraft battery. Some folks on this forum have surrendered their Mav for up to two weeks while the dealership goofs...
