Yup.... the last trip out to the KOA near there with our 5er, had all that and dumb@ss motorcycles drive on lane divides between cars going faster then them which were already at 80+ mph! However, someone mentioned (hard to believe its true) that CO allows for 2 whlrs to drive like that??? If...
On our F250 we use a chain with "D" rings on both ends connected to both the tailgate and bed tie down to keep it from being fully deployed while traveling. Only opens about 6".... saved our tailgate and junk inthe trunk many of times due too accidental remote fat finger..
Do hope some resolution and/or explanation is found on this topic since I'm just a few weeks away from a 2026 Mav Lariat AWD Hybrid delivery...!🫤
On a "maybe" related note..... had a '89 full sized Bronco with an AOD in it. Was replacing the 302 with a 351W FOMO SVO crate long block (which...
My favorite car song (of many) was Johnny Cash "One Piece At a Time". Reminds me of my youth finding old rare car parts in junk yards back when the yards were popular and pennies on the dollar cost!
Pontiac is the one brand I wish they would bring back.....
Had a '67 Lemans 326ci Powerglide. It had the rare factory reverb stereo simulator in it (used a spring to transfer sound over to the other channel). Loved that car, best RWD car for traveling thru any snow - just let off the gas and...
If our ordered Mav Lariat didnt come with the spray-in as part of the pkg... would not have added the OEM version.
Would highly recommend going with Line-X spray-in product instead. The Line-X is reportedly thicker and comes with a lifetime guarentee against fade and chipping - any dealer...
Buddy of mine while I was at Ft Campbell had a diesel Rabbit. Whenever he came to a stop while running that car would shake like a paint can mixer at Lowes! LOL...! Other than that, ran pretty dang good.....
In Shelby Mustangs and Cobras they called that "snake bite" when the factory limited slips would drag the back end left and right during hard acceleration. Thats when they started using traction bars to help tame the sideways motion. My 2012 Gt500 did it until I put on a poor mans IS Fays 2...
Yup... my old '83 5.0 5spd 600 Holley hatchback Stang would eat Cougars, Camaros and Firebirds (and even a few of the SVO's too) all day long.. Only problem with them were 2nd gear synchronisers that were weak and often replaced. And then of course.... the eventual rebuild of the OEM 600...
Patch plug is the recommended tire fix if not in sidewall or to close to tread edges. However, getting off the trail or side of road "emergency" type fix is what the rope and insert tool are good at. Some insert tool kits have a hole reamer included as well.
Have had tires with rope fix last...
After offroad jeeping for a number of years, always carry a cheapo set of rope and insert tool under the seat storage.
Had a '89 full size Bronco that tires acted like magnets, would catch every nail! Must of had 6 plugs in one tire once!😐
Yup.. the Hyundai 6spd autos are not as smooth. But did like the conventional feel to them in through the gears.... maybe even more torque feel as well than my Mav Hybrid test drive.
First that goes.... is the fix-flat-kit! The extra 60lbs and cost for spare aint enough deterent for "Found On the Road Dead" situations due to a flat that cant be gooped back to life... not to mention, most tire shops getting a little PO'd when ckeaning up the mess swapping out new tread.
Interesting.... I placed my order for the hood prorector using the app and it let me pick my dealership to send it too.... hmmm. Assumed (we all know what that means) that since they receive parts on a near daily basis for warranty/service, would just include it on the next truck?
Should show up on Ford official app after registering/creating an account, adding new vehicle after purchase, and/or parts purchase thru app sign in on Ford.
Want to say (if remembering correctly) one gets about $100+ bucks in points for new vehicle purchase, and so much % in parts purchases...
