If the order window is still open on Friday, 7/21, Iāll be surprised. Even with the price increases, the Maverick is still the best deal in the category regardless whether itās EB or Hybrid. Plus, I think Ford has months of production usage just from carryover orders.
Iām not sure what Iāll do. I wanted a hybrid for the mpg; but I can buy a lot of gas for $1500. I only drive about 5000 miles/year, anyway. On the other hand, nothing in the small truck category is going to be any cheaper, even with the $1500 bump.
We will need to know by the 17th, when we initiate our rollover orders. Iām not sure what Iāll do if my XL hybrid ends up priced higher than an XLT EB.
Some folks are just a little OCD like that. It drives my wife crazy that the thermostat in the hall and the thermometer in our bedroom donāt read exactly the same.
Not to worry, I wonāt be canceling my ā23 in favor of a 24. I was mainly wondering about the people who want the latest and greatest regardless of extra cost, because itās possible that the last of the 23ās and 24ās could be delivered at the same
From the stats shown on MTC, Ford never expected the demand for hybrids to be so high. Remember, many of the manufacturerās decisions are made years in advance of production, and based on agreements made with suppliers at that time. Most major manufacturers, of any product, are not agile...
$500, refundable. I didnāt mind. When the order banks opened for MY23, Ford wasnāt basing filled orders on allocation, I donāt think. I felt better knowing that I had some money on the table, and a ācontractā, although it wasnāt binding. I would worry that an unscrupulous dealer would get my...
Oh, no! I wouldnāt cancel my order! I just know guys hat have to have the latest and greatest of every vehicle they buy. They trade every year or two!
I was just wondering if any of yāall would cancel your unbuilt ā23 Maverick if you got a guarantee of a delivered ā24, even though the ā24 would include price increases. In other words, would you rather have a 23 in hand, or wait another few months for a newer model year?
You could also use a light and try to gauge the thickness of the metal youāre tapping. Extending the screws (or the tap) past the tapped metal wonāt give you any more grip.
Just what is āprice protection by private offerā? Iāve seen it mentioned a couple of times in this thread, and I understand that is what happened in 22-23, but I donāt understand the terminology.
Yeah, the paperwork I signed with my order detailed my out-the-door cost. Iām not a lawyer so I canāt say whether itās legally binding, but I think itās pretty close. Paperwork signed and money exchanged hands.
Yeah, Iāve heard about Bigfoot sightings, but Iāve never seen him myself. Just kidding. I went through the process of trying to find one within 300 miles. No luck, and I really didnāt want to fly across the country. I found a few, but nothing near MSRPā¦plus, I can afford to wait. My old 2011...
