  1. Let's start a pool -- how long will 2024 Maverick order bank be open for?

If the order window is still open on Friday, 7/21, I’ll be surprised. Even with the price increases, the Maverick is still the best deal in the category regardless whether it’s EB or Hybrid. Plus, I think Ford has months of production usage just from carryover orders.
  2. Will 2023 Hybrid order holders have to pay higher price for 2024 Hybrid?

Even with the increases, my XL Hybrid is still at a better price than any other small hybrid truck.
  3. Is the 24 hybrid $1,500 increase considered part of the "incentive" that Ford will offer 23 orders or is it a "non-equipment related price increase"?

I’m not sure what I’ll do. I wanted a hybrid for the mpg; but I can buy a lot of gas for $1500. I only drive about 5000 miles/year, anyway. On the other hand, nothing in the small truck category is going to be any cheaper, even with the $1500 bump.
  4. Is the 24 hybrid $1,500 increase considered part of the "incentive" that Ford will offer 23 orders or is it a "non-equipment related price increase"?

We will need to know by the 17th, when we initiate our rollover orders. I’m not sure what I’ll do if my XL hybrid ends up priced higher than an XLT EB.
  5. Adjusting AFE Bias - 5000 miles of Data from my Hybrid Maverick

Some folks are just a little OCD like that. It drives my wife crazy that the thermostat in the hall and the thermometer in our bedroom don’t read exactly the same.
  6. Would you cancel your unbuilt MY23 for a guaranteed MY 24

Not to worry, I won’t be canceling my ā€˜23 in favor of a 24. I was mainly wondering about the people who want the latest and greatest regardless of extra cost, because it’s possible that the last of the 23’s and 24’s could be delivered at the same
  7. Why doesn't Ford just raise the MSRP to be close to the market price?

From the stats shown on MTC, Ford never expected the demand for hybrids to be so high. Remember, many of the manufacturerā€˜s decisions are made years in advance of production, and based on agreements made with suppliers at that time. Most major manufacturers, of any product, are not agile...
  8. Did you leave a deposit with your dealer for your order?

$500, refundable. I didn’t mind. When the order banks opened for MY23, Ford wasn’t basing filled orders on allocation, I don’t think. I felt better knowing that I had some money on the table, and a ā€œcontractā€, although it wasn’t binding. I would worry that an unscrupulous dealer would get my...
  9. Would you cancel your unbuilt MY23 for a guaranteed MY 24

Oh, no! I wouldn’t cancel my order! I just know guys hat have to have the latest and greatest of every vehicle they buy. They trade every year or two!
  10. Would you cancel your unbuilt MY23 for a guaranteed MY 24

Nope. Just one of those random, useless thoughts that pop into my head occasionally.
  11. Would you cancel your unbuilt MY23 for a guaranteed MY 24

I was just wondering if any of y’all would cancel your unbuilt ā€˜23 Maverick if you got a guarantee of a delivered ā€˜24, even though the ā€˜24 would include price increases. In other words, would you rather have a 23 in hand, or wait another few months for a newer model year?
  12. What warranty is everyone purchasing for the Maverick Hybrid?

The ā€œhybrid relatedā€ standard warranty from Ford is 8 years/100,000 miles.
  13. What warranty is everyone purchasing for the Maverick Hybrid?

I’ve never been a fan of extended warranties for any product. I think I’m way ahead on cost.
  14. Question about tapping holes in bed for tie downs? Gas tank issue?

You could also use a light and try to gauge the thickness of the metal you’re tapping. Extending the screws (or the tap) past the tapped metal won’t give you any more grip.
  15. Official: 2023 to 2024 Maverick Order Conversion + Price Increase Offset Incentive + Order Bank Opens July 17

Yep. If I couldn’t get spray in, I’d rather have a rubber mat than a drop in.
  16. Official: 2023 to 2024 Maverick Order Conversion + Price Increase Offset Incentive + Order Bank Opens July 17

I’ve had several drop in liners in my 70 years. Every one of them, if/when you took them out, had rubbed bare spots in the paint in the bed.
  17. šŸ“£ 2024 Maverick ordering & changes info! Price increases, new Terrain & Azure Gray colors, product changes, etc.

Just what is ā€œprice protection by private offerā€? I’ve seen it mentioned a couple of times in this thread, and I understand that is what happened in 22-23, but I don’t understand the terminology.
  18. Unhappy Ford customers

$500. i wasn’t surprised. I expected it and thought it was reasonable. I get it back if I cancel. I thought this was/is standard practice. No?
  19. Unhappy Ford customers

Yeah, the paperwork I signed with my order detailed my out-the-door cost. I’m not a lawyer so I can’t say whether it’s legally binding, but I think it’s pretty close. Paperwork signed and money exchanged hands.
  20. Unhappy Ford customers

Yeah, I’ve heard about Bigfoot sightings, but I’ve never seen him myself. Just kidding. I went through the process of trying to find one within 300 miles. No luck, and I really didn’t want to fly across the country. I found a few, but nothing near MSRP…plus, I can afford to wait. My old 2011...
