  1. Who here is actually paying 5-10 grand over MSRP for these trucks... And Why?????

Sorry, not meant to be disparaging. The only parallels between a “market adjusted” Maverick and a designer pocketbook is that whoever buys it, they want it badly and can afford it.
  2. Who here is actually paying 5-10 grand over MSRP for these trucks... And Why?????

The “why” is easy…they want it real bad and can afford it. It’s like asking a woman why she’d want a $300-$500 designer pocketbook. I wouldn’t pay 3-5K over MSRP, even though I want one and can afford it...it’s a matter of practicality and principle. I’ll wait for my base XL to be built.
  3. Finally got my "Another update on your Ford Order" email

My first, last, and only was 11/8/22. Ordered 9/17/22. I guess that means that I’m so far down on the list that I don’t matter! Oh well.
  4. Production notifications?

Yeah my XL is hybrid. I don’t “need” a new truck. My 2011 Ranger 4x4 only has 92K miles. I knew I’d probably have to wait a year when I ordered. But I hate the thought of maybe having to reorder in July if Ford is not doing order carryovers to the 24MY. But I guess, if I want a Maverick...
  5. Production notifications?

Thanks for the info. I really don’t expect anything until I get a VIN, I am just a little surprised there aren’t more celebratory posts. What did you order and when did you order (if you don’t mind me asking)? I ordered my XL 9/17/22. Only options were a hitch and a full size spare. Neither...
  6. Production notifications?

I’m a newbie here (just a few days). I’ve browsed most of the forums and have yet to notice where someone says “Got my VIN today! Scheduled for xx/xx/2023 ! (description of their order). Am I missing them ?
  7. Intentionally limiting production of Mavericks??

Yeah, probably…but in manufacturing, it’s always a crapshoot when you roll out a new item. If not for the pandemic scaring the crap out of everyone and creating supply chain issues, production vs sales may have been more in line. The rollout plan was in place long before the pandemic. In the...
  8. 🗓️ Maverick Clean-Up Scheduling This Week (5/4/23) for Production Weeks 6/19 Through 6/26

These posts make me leery of submitting a change order. I fear making changes could drop me back to square one.
  9. 🗓️ Maverick Clean-Up Scheduling This Week (5/4/23) for Production Weeks 6/19 Through 6/26

Here’s the info I found: What Comes With The Maverick 4K Tow Package? While the cost of the 4K Tow package isn't grand, what comes with it is quite impressive. The package includes 225/65R17 tires for XL and XLT trims (Lariat already comes equipped with 225/60R18 tires), a 2-inch trailer hitch...
  10. 🗓️ Maverick Clean-Up Scheduling This Week (5/4/23) for Production Weeks 6/19 Through 6/26

I don’t think so. I could be wrong, but I think the standard hitch is a 4-pin connector while the 4K package has a larger connector (6 or 8 pins) for larger trailers with electric brakes.
  11. 🗓️ Maverick Clean-Up Scheduling This Week (5/4/23) for Production Weeks 6/19 Through 6/26

Trailer hitch constraint pisses me off. When I ordered (9/17/22) Hitches weren’t a problem.. I deleted a couple of options because they were a problem at that time
  12. Insane offer from Carvana.

If you need the money, sell the Mav.…but I doubt if you could immediately replace it for that. Plus, you’ll be taxed on the profit.
  13. Production priorities

Does Ford prioritize certain models (Lariats over XL’s) or do they just start what they have parts for (eco-boost over hybrid)? BTW, new member…sorry if this is a repetitive question!
  14. 23,000 miles and oil anxiety with my Hybrid

Change it when you feel good about it. IMHO, you can’t change oil too often. the engine may not NEED it, but it won’t hurt anything (except your wallet).
  15. 45-Day Email

I received my order confirmation about a week after I ordered…mid September, 2022. Received an email from Ford in the first week of November, 2022, promising 45 day updates. Nothing since, although my dealer calls about once a month to let me know they haven’t forgotten me.
