Looking at the instructions the brackets look the same for both driver and passenger sides? I've always seen a difference on other step bars due to the battery being on the passengers side?

I agree, my old 09 escape hybrid had separate height adjustments for the front and back of the seat. That was great. Miss it in both my 25 maverick, and 23 escape phev.

NP. It's been a common misconception lately according to the threads I've seen.

If it is white it is not the MIL. It is part of the Power Guage. It is settable in the menu and must gave been triggered accidentally.

That left power gauge is selectable in the screen menu. Maybe it wasn't selected when you first picked up the truck.

No audible. Just a solid indication when something is present and then flashing if you put your signal on and something is there. 25 Lariat Hybrid.

I've had the same thing happen in my '23 Escape PHEV, but not yet with my '25 Hybrid Lariat. Was hoping they had fixed the bug. Guess not.

On the none Pro Trailer assist models (1st release) its on the far right.

Just make sure you check that it will mount on a hybrid. The mounting is different on the passenger side due to the battery.

Being Canadian you have 2 good choices. One is the Bison hard cover or CW Limited. Both offer free install if you are close to thier shops. I have a CW on mine and am extremely happy with it. I got the fold back 2.0
