These days we don’t get much Snow In PA. PLus they throw out 2 inches of salt to one inch of snow. I need 4WD for hunting and fishing. To go off-road. just jabbing 😉

4WD is a must for me. Fuel economy is not the reason I purchased.

Fl-910S is the recommended size. bypass set at 14.5 psi, FL-400S is bigger and would have more filtering area. Bypass set at 20 psi. I would recommend using the Recommended FL-910s. And over filling is worse that being under by 1/2 QT.

I too perform as much maintenance as possible myself, since I’m an Aircraft Mechanic and perversely Ford Dealer. Definitely would go to the dealer for anything that I need.

I change my oil every 5K and have never needed to add any oil between. Last 4 Fords.

I can’t stress enough that changing the oil at or before the recommend and using the correct oil type and weight is the best way to keep your engine running for the long haul. For me I’ve replaced the last two Explorer Sportracs right before 100k just for value. Nothing was wrong with them.

There is no way Ford will build a 4 wheel drive hybrid Version. They would need to take out the CVT transmission. It’s not strong enough. (Personally I can’t stand the CVT) The 8 speed is needed for the 4 wheel drive. This would put the fuel economy up to the eco Boost. No value.

It looks to me like someone used a HI SPEED BUFFER on it? Burned some polish into the black trim. Buffers are for paint only and can damage plastic.
