I remember in another thread someone claimed (maybe even quoted the manual) that the hybrid (like most moderns cars today) has an oil life indicator shown as a percentage of usable life left. I thought I saw in that thread that the manual recommended changing the hybrid oil based on that...
Did anyone else receive a similar email from their dealer? This was not a Ford offer so it might be dealer specific (this dealer is Mullinax Ford, Kissimmee, Fl.). Unfortunately when I asked my dealer, he said rates cannot be locked in and someone sent this out in error without clarification...
Take a look at your rotors. Are there visible score marks on the inside or outside? Could be something as simple as a rock or debris stuck between one of the pads.
If there are no score marks, try a couple of higher speed hard brake applications to try and scrub the pads clean. I don't know...
The road noise comments are my only gripe about buying this truck sight unseen without a test drive, and one of the reasons I sprung for the Lariat with the acoustic windshield. Seems to be a wide range of opinions. It is highly subjective depending on what you are used to driving and what other...
It wouldn't surprise me if some lawyers said that it needs to be removed as it could be seen as a liability as the driver should always have both hands on the wheel...
I was looking at a Chevy Trail Blazer. Only thing that was comparable in my price range that had the features I wanted. I was actually heading over to Ford.com to compare it to the Escape when the Maverick caught my eye.
I remember my dad's Ranger getting rear ended when he had the hitch in there. We were stopped to let an ambulance pull out of a side street and the lady behind didn't realize in time. Probably a 10-15 mph impact. Ranger didn't have a scratch on it but the car had a huge dent in their front metal...
Here is the link to last weeks scheduling schedule which included builds through 2/21
https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/%E2%8F%B1-maverick-scheduling-upcoming-week-12-13-for-production-build-weeks-1-3-22-%E2%80%93-2-21-22.6169/
Through posts exactly like this. Not sure where they find out or if ford publicly releases it, but every Friday someone creates a post for what upcoming weeks ford will be scheduling. For instance, most likely Friday January 5th, the post will read "Ford Scheduling Week of January 8th for build...
There is a monumental cost difference from doing it at the dealer/aftermarket vs on an assembly line. Ford would be losing out if they went that route so they have no choice but to wait until materials are available at the factory.
Now there's nothing stopping you from removing that item from...
This is no big deal and not unexpected. They have already scheduled builds through practically all of February already so they are well ahead where three weeks off wont hurt anything. When they pick back up week of January 8th, they'll pick up right where they left off. Its not like we're...
I would imagine that in order to reduce prep time/costs/etc., they won't build a truck unless it can be immediately installed with the SIBL. Sure they can build it and wait for the spray in material but then the trucks would be stockpiled in a dusty desert and then each truck would have to be...
Constraints aside, there is too much that goes into picking what order actually gets scheduled. Yes hybrids are constrained to 40%, yes lux packages are constrained... but then there's allocations and priority codes and whether or not Ford's scheduler is focusing on a specific region... so many...
Looks like the entire fabric "skid plate" has to be removed for the oil change. Might make doing it in the garage a bit if a pain but at least it can bend out of the way and back.
Ford chat is hit or miss whether they can tell you your priority code. Ford Marketing can. At least they have every time I called them.
I don't trust jack my dealer tells me considering they've lied for about a month telling me I was at priority 10 when I was still at 19. Ford marketing was how...
Part of me wants to call Ford to check my priority code and see if I'm at level 2, but the other part of me does not want to deal with that reality and I rather just put off my disappointment until the emails start going out.
Does he have the cash on hand to pay off the remaining balance on the vehicle if it were to be totaled? Is he a responsible driver or risk of an accident/any prior accident history?
Insurance is too much like gambling.. it depends on too many factors.
I personally don't get it but I'll only be...
