I’d say you should check them every oil change, my cheap one caught a decent amount of oil and that was only on the “clean” side these direct injection engines are notorious for oil on the intake/intercooler piping

I would imagine it’s billet like the rest of the oil catch can but I cannot say for sure

Update! Got some goodies from the good folks over at Boomba Racing! Intake and throttle body spacers in anodized blue! If anyone is interested I can make a write up of the install as I’d definitely rate it a “moderate” for people who have never really worked on vehicles before or have proper tools
