  1. Dash Cams installs?

Rexing V1P 4K Have had it in my Mav for over 2 years now, it loses the date/time when I park the car more then a week. Had the same brand, prior model on my last Prius for 5 years with no issues either.
  2. $24,950 SLATE Truck News & Info

I reserved one. I need something that I can drive to work, but also be able to load drywall and plywood for home reno's. I'm ready for a simpler and more reliable car, and I love the idea of Slate being user serviceable and barebones. My Maverick has been in the shop a total of 4 weeks since...
  3. Issues with aftermarket hood struts messing up hood latch?

I put mine on the other bolt, and don't have any issues/worries pushing it down into place. Either way works I suppose, glad to help!
  4. Issues with aftermarket hood struts messing up hood latch?

I installed them cause at the time I lived in a apartment with lower ceiling parking garage and rather have them slowly open to any height then work with the prop rod
  5. Issues with aftermarket hood struts messing up hood latch?

There were no hood struts on from factory, the hood wouldn't open easily with aftermarket struts and the dealer said it was cause the latch was worn out from the struts, real answer is you just have to have something provide more upwards pressure when (Jeep hood latch)
  6. Issues with aftermarket hood struts messing up hood latch?

A spring for the JK? I'll look into getting one, thanks! Klutchtech 2022 2023 2024 Ford Maverick https://a.co/d/585NsR7
  7. Issues with aftermarket hood struts messing up hood latch?

They may be trying to drum up some good will, I've been out the truck 2 weeks cause body damage they caused after all... Lol
  8. Issues with aftermarket hood struts messing up hood latch?

Howdy, just curious if anyone has experienced or heard of this... I installed aftermarket hood struts on my 2023 XLT, the truck was in for a recall and paint issues, the Ford dealer called and said they needed to replace the hood latch (under warranty) because the hood struts overstressed it...
  9. Little truck doing little truck things

As the winter has set in I've hauled off multiple loads of leaves and am in the process of cleaning up the remnants of a second tree I took out. My family makes fun of the "not a real truck" but gets everything I need done and still gets 40+mpg!
  10. If You Weren't a Ford Guy/Gal Why Did You Get a Maverick?

I came from a 2016 prius C, I always wanted a truck but didn't wanna sacrifice the MPG.... with the mavericks price tag and almost the same MPG I was sold, traded my Prius in for 14,000 and got my 23 Maverick for $29,000 out the door
  11. The REAL HYBRID MPG

I just clocked over 8000 miles on the odometer of my 23 XLT... I'm averaging 42.6 mpg for the life of the car, that's with only turning on eco mode on longer trips. That figure also includes multiple trips/moving back and forth from PA to NC. I'd say 40's is reasonable, it's all about driving...
  12. Maverick moving truck: Loaded it up and moved from Philly to Charlotte

Yes it is, and it came out unscathed, was a little bowed for about an hour but formed back to how it's meant to, no indents or noticeable differences
  13. Maverick moving truck: Loaded it up and moved from Philly to Charlotte

I was originally going to put the mattress on the bars, but the day of the move it was raining the entire time till I got to NC 😂... was originally gonna trash it, but then thought we could try folding it in half and see what happens
  14. Maverick moving truck: Loaded it up and moved from Philly to Charlotte

I got a hitch extension: REYSUN 864121 Trailer Hitch Riser... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XNHCPPY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I originally was going to use it with a U-Haul and the tailgate down, but ended up not getting the U-Haul, so it worked here
  15. Maverick moving truck: Loaded it up and moved from Philly to Charlotte

Na that's the top to my desk actually but yeah 😂
  16. Maverick moving truck: Loaded it up and moved from Philly to Charlotte

Packed up and moved south from Philly to Charlotte. Everything but my mattress and bed frame fit into the truck (buddy took the bed). ~600 miles at 34.6 mpg, and I average 70mph with spurts up to 95mph.
  17. Slowly building a camping Maverick

I love it, I'd personally go with whichever you can get cheaper. I think the only major difference is the Truxedo's material extends out and velcros down vs the Bak's is just a rubber weather stripping that rolls up, so the Bak wouldn't have interference with my bed bars when rolling up, but eh...
  18. Love my Maverick, but it's annoying to use for Uber

For one, this is a < $30,000 car, it's not like a brand new Escalade or Range Rover, as well as it's fuel efficient (hybrid). So personally, sometimes I just wanna make a few bucks and drive around. I love my car, and only do short local trips with it, and the money I make I use to buy more...
  19. Love my Maverick, but it's annoying to use for Uber

I've had them before, they broke within a year (not quite what you want from a safety device). They also don't feel sturdy when in the OEM buckle, and whenever I had passengers they would more often then not just unplug the OEM buckle anyways so this would come out with the belt. They're fine...
